We loved the site. The facilities were clean and everything was really carefully looked after. Colin and Jeanette went out of their way to be welcoming and friendly, and it was fab being given cake and children's gifts on arrival.
The pitch size was huge, with plenty of space for a bell tent.
It was great to be able to buy jams, vegetables and eggs.
The site is only a short drive from some awesome beaches.

A small but spacious site, Tamarstone was literally a last minute booking for us. The owners were very welcoming, with homemade cake for us!
The amenities were basic, which was all we wanted, but always clean and functional and well looked after.
C also very kindly gave our car a jump start after we discovered we had a flat battery as we were trying to leave, so thanks for that!
Good value and only ten minutes from Bude.

    Disliked:

C, what had you done to offend the Rain Gods, eh? The ground was very waterlogged, which created a lot of mud, but that is just bad luck.
The only other thing was, the site is right next to a busy road and although not super noisy, you can hear traffic even till late in the evening.

Very friendly place, the hosts are extremely welcoming and I felt completely safe as a solo female traveller. The facilities were clean and had everything I needed (hot shower especially!) Perfect as a base camp to explore Devon.

    Disliked:

Not really much to see around the site itself if you want to go for walks. This was the only downside though.
