Castle Brake Holiday Park

They say an Englishman’s (motor)home is his castle - so when choosing where to brake, you’ll want a spot that’s fit for a king. Castle Brake Holiday Park in East Devon should pass muster: it’s a smart, family-run park within the majestic heathland of Woodbury Common, ideally placed for an invasion of Exeter and the sought-after sands of the Jurassic Coast. (Tents and caravans will be given the royal treatment too.)

The facilities are splendid: a spotless, cedar-clad amenities block with underfloor heating and family bathrooms; a laundry room; a cosy bar and bistro that serves up quality home-made nosh using local ingredients (takeaways are also available); a decent play area for the kids; and ample space for a peaceful stroll and a bit of wildlife spotting.

Castle Brake Holiday Park is within walking distance of the village of Woodbury, which has a handful of good pubs and shops, or it’s an easy ride into Exeter for anything else you might need.

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

Pitches may be occupied from 2pm and vacated by 11am.

The latest time of arrival is 9pm unless specific arrangements are made.

We regret that we are unable to guarantee any particular pitch or position on the park.

If you are due to purchase a new groundsheet, please buy one with aeration holes - these allow the ground to breathe and keep pitches in a much healthier condition.

Gazebos are not accepted.

The maximum size of a tent when erected including guy ropes must not exceed 6m x 6m and you will be asked to confirm this when booking.

Dogs must be kept on a lead and no more than two per pitch are permitted. They must accompany you when you go out. It is regretted that dogs classified as dangerous breeds cannot be accepted on the park.

Families and couples only. Bookings including groups, boats and transit vans are not accepted via
