It’s an award winner, and it’s easy to see why – Devon’s Lady’s Mile near the Blue Flag beaches of Dawlish Warren has all that’s needed for ladies and gentlemen to pitch up. It’s had cracking reviews and full marks for location, cleanliness, facilities, customer service and more, and also has five-star scores for value for money.
And there’s more – Lady’s Mile also has an indoor and outdoor pool, an on-site restaurant, a bar, fab play areas for the kids including an adventure playground and soft play area, evening entertainment to croon along to, a takeaway and even a gym if you feel like working the calories off (or you could just decide to relax by the pool or in the sauna instead). The showers and bath on site are fit for even the most ladylike lady, and there’s also a parent and baby washroom to keep the holiday grub off the smaller campers. Wifi access is available.
Whether you’re off site during your stay is another matter, although there are two pubs within a mile which might prove to be the motivation you need...
Lady’s Mile is a site for the sea and sand lovers, as it’s only a mile from two beaches where you can surf, swim, sail or just laze and sunbathe. There’s also golf, fishing, horse-riding and tennis nearby, or you could indulge in a spot of culture and wander around the nearby National Trust properties A la Ronde and Compton Castle.
Want something a little more likely to appeal to the kids? Pack them in the car and take them off to Crealy Great Adventure Park a short drive away, where they can go gaga on the rides or go wild in the indoor jungle. They’ll also enjoy seeing the famous black swans along the Dawlish river, bumping along on the seafront railway, or just sticking close to the beach resort with its pirate-themed mini golf, go-karting, amusements and children’s rides.

We cannot emphasise too strongly the wisdom of taking out our cancellation plan at £10 per week for pitches and £50 per week holiday homes which is payable with the balance payment.
Our cancellation plan covers the whole of your party up to and including the day your holiday commences against cancellation due to:
- Redundancy or jury service of a member of the party
- Accident, injury, illness or death of a member of the party
- We guarantee to return the full amount* of the final balance payment paid to Lady’s Mile/Oakcliff under this scheme. Please give as much notice as possible and provide the appropriate authoritative documents in confirmation of your reason for cancellation i.e. doctor’s note, death certificate, redundancy notice under the Payment Act 1965. Claims outside the specified reasons for cancellations will not be entertained. The cancellation plan is non-refundable.
The decision of the company on all claims is final. A £30 administration fee is payable to Lady’s Mile on any claim.
We regret that in the event of leaving early, no refunds can be made.
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.
Please note that your deposit is paid to Pitchup.com and is non-refundable.
Payment of balance
The balance is due 4 weeks before arrival, or if the arrival date is sooner than 4 weeks then the balance should be paid as soon as possible.

You can now make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children on Pitchup.com.
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
Use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together when booking multiple pitches: the campsite or park will try to grant your request.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
