General

  • Leafy park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
  • Family run for over 30 years
  • Pool, sauna, licensed shop and wildlife information room

Hide yourself away in the leafy dells of Forest Glade Holiday Park, within the serene and eye-wateringly lovely Blackdown Hills (the landscape here is so unique that it's been officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

This four-star site has been family run for more than 30 years, and it shows in the thoughtful touches that have been added to make sure visitors have a comfortable stay, from the parent and baby rooms to the ladies’ makeup corner.

After pounding their fellow guests into submission on the all-weather tennis court, holidaymakers can relax to the max in the free heated indoor pool and sauna, then stock up for an evening’s cook-in at the licensed shop, or grab a bite from the takeaway.

Mini campers are sorted too, with a paddling pool, adventure playground, games room, indoor soft play, and a designated area for ball games. Budding David Attenboroughs should check out the wildlife information room before heading off in search of local fauna on one of the forest walks around the park.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They were able to advise on good local hot spots inc restaurants and family days out. There was a small shop on site which was able to provide 'take aways' in the evening if you didn't want to cook. Lovely forest to explore on site and plenty of room for games outside. Unfortunately our tent leaked with the dreadful weather that week but the staff were helpful in trying to get us sorted. Thank you we will be back, hopefully with better weather! :)

Arrived to be greeted by a woman with quite an attitude as we arrived early. They stored our stuff in a garage and we explored for an hour. Came back and the caravan was ready. I said thank you and she said we didn't do it early for you! No need really.
The games room is very very old and decrepid most of the equipment wasn'the working and it would of been good if the swimming pool changing room could of been completed for the high season

Really impressed with the location we chose for our trip to Diggerland. We had not been to this part of Devon before and indeed had not heard of Cullompton or Forest Glade Holiday Park but we were so glad we came here. Our caravan was spotless and had plenty of room for Grandad, Grandma and our daughter and grandson. It was a birthday treat and everything we needed was available and just to see the different styles of accommodation that was catered for was a real eye opener. The setting is just beautiful in the forest and the size of the site was ideal and not too large or impersonal. You will be in for a treat if you haven't been here before.

    Disliked:

I really tried hard to find something I disliked but there was nothing apart from the fact that we should really have stayed longer.

Local attractions

The scenery around Forest Glade obviously makes for awesome walking and cycling (you can hire bikes in Tiverton), but there are masses of other activities on offer nearby, from fly fishing to flying, and riding to gliding. Bon vivants will find a glut of cream teas, farmers’ markets and quality pubs and restaurants in the immediate area.

It’s easy to explore the wilds of both Exmoor and Dartmoor from here, or you can gaze your way along the spectacular Jurassic Coast (England’s first natural World Heritage Site). There are beaches at Sidmouth and Exmouth, but if the big yellow thing in the sky proves elusive, families can always go and drive diggers at Diggerland, play crazy golf at Pecorama, or take a heritage tram ride on the Seaton Tramway instead.
