General

  • Spacious, well-equipped pitches next to Devon's Diggerland theme park
  • Exeter and Exmoor National Park within a half-hour drive
  • Handy stopover on the M5, 10 minutes' drive from Cullompton

If you know a youngster who can’t get enough of all things JCB, then scoop them up and whisk them away to Diggerland Campsite – as the name suggests, it’s a mere two-minute walk from the fab Diggerland theme park.

Devon’s lovely Verbeer Manor, just off the M5 and 10 minutes’ drive from Cullompton, is home to this spacious, family-friendly site, and its flat green grounds make a fine place to pitch with the nippers before they embark on a day of digger-related antics at the neighbouring theme park. The level pitches have optional electric hook-up and are large, sheltered and well-drained, with access to a toilet and shower block – just what you need for comfy (and much-needed) slumbers after a tiring day becoming a digging pro at the park.

Diggerland’s name tells you exactly what it is: a theme park where tiddlers can hop aboard a variety of digger-themed rides and dig away in their own six-ton digger (height restrictions apply; and don’t worry, jealous grownups – you’re allowed to join in too…) All budding digger drivers are accompanied by an expert to make sure they’re mastering the proper technique in a safe manner. Food’s available at the outlets on site and there are also picnic tables around the place for outdoor eating.

Sticking around for a little longer? This tree-lined site is also a nifty location for getting out and about to Devon’s digger-free attractions, such as the next-door Digger Lakes or the nearby bird of prey park, castle and railway centre.

Please note

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Diggerland is open at weekends, on bank holidays and on weekdays during the main local school holiday periods. It is closed on weekdays during school term time.
