General
Families who like their holidays overflowing with options should consider cruising along to Riviera Bay, where their cups will runneth over with bucketloads of choices for all ages and inclinations.
This is the most westerly site run by Park Holidays, and the jaw-dropping clifftop views over St Mary’s Bay are one of the reasons many Riviera visitors return year after year – or perhaps it’s because there’s everything you need on site to go alongside the smart chalet accommodation.
Little squirts can go Loopy at the kids’ club for ages 5-14, splash around in the indoor heated pool, go ape in the games arcade and Tropicana entertainment zone, or join the Science Club in season for enquiring minds and mini Einsteins.
But the park isn’t just for the littlies: the entertainment on offer takes in disco, karaoke and exclusive shows, with not a knobbly knee competition in sight. You’ll be sailing along with the food and drink options available too, as the restaurant does both carvery and takeaway and there’s a family bar with Sky TV and wifi – they’re both free in the clubhouse, with sports and internet packages available at a small charge for campers who have to stay connected. Other facilities include a mini mart shop on site as well as a coin launderette.
Riviera Bay has one- and two-bedroom chalets available to hire on different price tariffs, all with full kitchen facilities and with linen provided.

From the north, follow the M5 to the end; this then becomes the A380 which leads onto the A3022 follow the signs for Brixham.
When nearing Brixham you will see signs for Berry Head, Riviera Bay is just before you actually get onto Berry Head itself (continuing on you would pass our sister park Landscove Holiday Park).
Journey time from the end of the M5 is approximately one hour depending on traffic and time of day.
Local attractions
Riviera Bay’s location overlooking a sheltered cove means it’s in the middle of some of the best clifftop and seaside walking in Devon: stay close to home or use it as a base to explore Devon, Paignton and Torquay with recommendations from staff on the best days out.
Swashbuckle with the Brixham Buccaneers every Thursday in summer at the Golden Hind, the full-size replica of Sir Francis Drake’s sixteenth century ship, or duck under deck at any time of year to see how Elizabethan sailors survived at sea. Brixham is the place to dip your toes in the water, with the marina, the 3000 foot-long breakwater and boat hire for fishing and sightseeing: book a boat at the quayside shacks in summer or ask for details at the Tourist Information Centre outside peak season.
Sit-down sightseers can take a cruise on the River Dart or steam along to the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, which runs for seven miles from Paignton along the coast to Churston: once energy levels are back to bursting take a drive to Exmoor National Park for hiking, cycling and horse-riding.
Let the tiddlers get wet on the Vortex water coaster at Crealy Great Adventure Park, trek the tropics at Paignton Zoo and get eagle-eyed at the award-winning Pennywell Farm activity park. They’ll also be otterly delighted with the animals to see at Living Coasts, the coastal zoo at Torquay.
