General

  • Small, well-maintained and peaceful site in Devon's Ruby Country
  • Self-contained yurt: cooking facilities, private bathroom and firepit
  • Surrounded by Devon countryside but 25 minutes from the beach

Down Yonder Yurt and Camping Site is in the beautiful Ruby Country in Devon, based between Okehampton and Holsworthy. Within approximately 25 minutes of the site, it is possible to be on a beach at Bude or on the outskirts of Dartmoor. You can also catch a bus at the Lane End junction to either Bude or Exeter.

We offer a traditional Mongolian yurt but with contemporary furnishings. It has electric hook-up, cooking facilities, bed linen and towels.

The campsite has a toilet block with showers and an outside dishwashing sink.

The yurt and campsite is surrounded by our smallholding, including 12 Dexter cows and four sheep. Visitors to our site have direct access to the Ruby Way bridleway.
