Lovely site, helpful staff, clean accommodation. 19/09/2017

The receptionist gave us a friendly and efficient welcome on arrival. The 'welcome pack' with a map of the area and general information about the facilities was very useful. Our accommodation was clean and cosy, the location beautiful, despite the rain. The site was ideally located for exploring the surrounding areas on the local bus, which stopped regularly at the park, giving a much better view of the scenery than going by car.

The site was in a lovely location. We took our 2 dogs with us. There were lovely woodland walks where the dogs could be exercised (on lead) with plenty of squirrels and rabbits. The accommodation was much better than we expected and was as good if not better than advertised. It was an excellent base for visiting many lovely locations in Cornwall. We didn't use the club house or pool so can't comment on these. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely go again.

    Disliked:

The only improvement I would make, and it is probably a big ask, would be for an enclosed area where dogs could be exercised off lead. Other than that I can't complain.

Die älteren Hütten, wir hatten so eine, sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Man riecht dass die Hütten vorher von Hundebesitzern gern genutzt wurden. Auf das Sofa haben wir uns lieber nicht gesetzt.

The adult liked nothing except the bus service running through.
The young teenagers put up with chalet and thoroughly enjoyed themselves especially the stripey staff

    Disliked:

Chalet was disgusting. Tiny old fashioned, mouldy windows, peeling paint and paper everywhere.Smell was disgusting. No shower just a tiny bath in a tiny ? bathroom.
Very expensive for the type of housing. Then they had the cheek to Charge £1.50 to use cash machine. The restaurant didnt even accept cards.so you paid or starved, we starved
All in all a horrible place for me.

Nice location, although a few miles from St Ives.
Bus service to St Ives good.
    Staff helpful and friendly
    Eventual chalet lovely.

    Disliked:

We booked a gold star chalet, as I was travelling with 3 of my grandchildren, 16, 17 and 18 year old, I wanted the 6 berth so that my grandson could sleep in the lounge area.
We were given a 2 bedroom terraced lodge with 2 seater sofas, which of course were no good to sleep on.
We were eventually given a chalet but throughout the stay, the boiler was faulty, so no hot water!

Local attractions

The famed town of St Ives is a short drive from St Ives Holiday Village, a place known these days for its art galleries and arty vibe, but still maintaining its fishy heritage with a still-thriving fishing industry. Wander the St Ives harbour to watch the fishing boat catches come in: you should be able to sample some of this later at one of the town restaurants…

Also at the harbour is the Boathouse Theatre, hosting family marionette puppet shows in one of the St Ives former boat stores; another family-friendly option is the St Ives Treasure Trail where your little gems can hunt down baddies on a self-guided murder mystery trail.

And then of course there's the art. The regular exhibitions of Tate St Ives and the New Millennium galleries are probably the most popular arty activity in the town, but several other local galleries can easily be found, alongside craft shops to pick up St Ives souvenirs.

Outside town, take a boat from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly, for a day trip to take in its mild climate, birdwatching, and miles more Cornish beaches of golden sand.

Must see
