Innis Inn and Campsite

We wouldn’t strictly recommend going to gorgeous Cornwall and spending all your time Inn the local pub, especially if you’re staying on a site within a mile’s walk of the Eden Project. But when there’s a pub right on the campsite, serving meals all day as well as Sunday carvery and Cornish cream teas, with a beer garden, and where dogs are welcome (and free on site)…a daily visit is, we think, within the realms of reason.

Innis Inn and Campsite is a family-run and quiet site with tent pitches, loos, showers and a disabled toilet, set on two and a half acres of land a few miles from the capital of the Cornish Alps St Austell. If you want to chill out close to base (and pub), there are fifteen acres of fishing lakes surrounding the campsite to make your way around, a play area and plenty of runaround room for mini inners.

The pub serves food daily from noon until 9pm and stays open for drinks until 1030. For essentials off site, it’s a fifteen-minute walk to the local village of Penwithick which has a Spar, post office and fish and chip shop; bikes can be hired on site for those who prefer to pedal.
