General

  • Peaceful family-friendly site on a working farm
  • Two miles from the Eden Project: arrange personal guided tours on site
  • Carefully landscaped wildlife haven

East Crinnis Camping and Caravan Park is a peaceful, family-friendly site, in a secluded rural setting on a working farm. It's well placed for getting to all of Cornwall, with Charlestown, Mevagissey and Fowey all within easy reach and the Eden Project two miles away.

The farm is in a wildlife haven, with plenty to spot on site and around the peaceful lake added as part of the East Crinnis farmland conservation project. The accommodation part is carefully landscaped and has plenty of shelter and colour among its many shrubs and flowers near a backdrop of tall pine and fir trees.

During the Whitsun and summer school holidays, the owners run a free storytelling and pasty evening once a week.

We arrived earlier than expected and took pot luck on being able to pitch up. We were welcomed by a lovely man,who had a look and then told us it wasn't a problem. We followed him as he showed us round, explaining where everything was. He then left us to settle in. Everything you need was there information, washing machine, little shop, morning cafe and great staff.

    Disliked:

Someone decided to take their pet in the shower block, dog foot prints and dog fur in the men's showers. Not the fault of the site, just inconsiderate people.

Fantastic site. Lovely clean modern shower and toilet block and with hot water and you don't have to pay for them! Brilliant location for exploring the area especially for the Eden project it's about a 30 min walk through a lovely woodland walk.

Shop and cafe on site are great if you travelled as we did and didnt take a stove! Very relaxed campsite really friendly owners. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend. One of the nicest we have stayed on. Next time we will take the children with us.

Very well laid out site, with hedges etc ensuring privacy. Spotless showers, toilets and washrooms. Warden very helpful. It's about an hour's walk to the Eden Project so quite convenient for that. I would definitely stay again.

    Disliked:

It's a very quiet site, which some people might not like and others will love! It's also on a reasonably busy road so there is some road noise but not intrusive.
