- Close to Newquay and within a few minutes' drive of several beaches
- Heated outdoor pool, café, bar and takeaway
- Close to Treloy Golf Club and 1.4 miles from the Boardmasters venue
Think Newquay and you think – surf? And you’d be right: the north Cornish town is probably the most famed spot in Cornwall for those who like to plunge with their boards into the foaming waves. But non-surfers who visit Newquay find there are a few other draws here… and so we come to Treloy Touring Park.
Holidaymakers of all sizes have a heated outdoor pool to splash about in and the location is pretty smashing too, tucked away quietly from the Cornish summer crowds but close to Newquay and within a few minutes’ drive some of Cornwall’s best beaches.
Care to tee off? Treloy Golf Course with driving range, nine-hole course, golf shop with club hire and licensed clubhouse is just down the road, with concessionary prices for Treloy guests.
The park’s modern amenities are kept to high standards by the friendly crew, which goes out of its way to ensure that guests of all sizes have a tiptop time.
Supplywise, the café, bar, takeaway and well-stocked shop on site should cater for most of your needs during the high season (please check the 'Policies' tab for more info); any holiday park shop that sells Cornish pasties will likely be a big hit with the kids too.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Follow the A30 into Cornwall. At Highgate Hill leave the A30 and then pass under the A30 and take the third exit towards Newquay.
At the Halloon roundabout take the third exit - A39 Wadebridge Road. At the Trekenning roundabout take the first left signposted Newquay A3059. Stay on this road for 4 miles until you see the Treloy Touring Park sign.
Treloy is in a first-class location whether your interests are coastline or countryside based, with fishing, golfing, cycling and main attractions like the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan all within easy reach. The park reception has info on most of Cornwall’s main attractions, with discount vouchers available for many.
One or more of the 11 beaches in and around Newquay will be most holidaymakers’ first stop. Fab Fistral Beach is the main mecca for surfers, with surf schools and surfing championships including Boardmasters busy throughout the season.
Family beaches such as Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay are a few minutes’ drive from Treloy: both Mawgan and Watergate are lifeguarded in the summer and Watergate has safe swimming areas for kids.
On land, Newquay and its surroundings have plenty going on too: Trenance Gardens, part of Trenance Leisure Park and with more than enough to tire the kids out with a boating lake, crazy golf, play areas, nature trails, a maze, the flumes and pools of Waterworld and one of the miniature trains, the Little Western Railway, of the Lappa Valley Steam Railway.
Award-winning DairyLand Farm World and the Blue Reef Aquarium should hold the attention of even the most fidgety youngster, but if not, the Crealy Great Adventure Park is less than half an hour away at Wadebridge, and Flambards Theme Park 25 miles away in Helston.
Kids thoroughly tired out? Onto more grownup activities such as an evening at Newquay’s theatre or four screen cinema, or angle for some fishing: coarse fishing at Porth Reservoir a mile from Treloy or a half/full day sea fishing trip from Newquay harbour.
The South-West Coast Path runs behind Watergate Bay – hike from here to Mawgan Porth or the 10 miles to Porthcothan – and for two-wheelers, the Padstow-Wadebridge leg of the Camel Trail is an easy traffic-free 5 mile cycle. You might even want to – ssh – take the kids along on that one…
