A lovely friendly country pub run by Bobbi and Steve, The Stag is situated close to the local amenities and transport links. Our bar is open from 11am to 12pm and full of our welcoming regular customers.
We're children and dog friendly and have a games room with a pool table, darts area and jukebox. Kids can even draw a picture and add it to our art wall where all the childrens pictures are put up on show.
There's always lots going on in our pub so you can never be bored. Apart from our games room, there is an event on almost every night of the week. Monday is ladies night, often with a party being put on by the likes of avon and bodyshop ( other brand name sales also available ). On Tuesdays we play cards and games, anything from cribb to jenga and twister. Wednesday is our free pool night which oftens turns into a good fun competition.Thursday is darts night and we all get involved throwing a few arrows. Friday is jukebox day, so lots of music and a good laugh. Saturday night is definately for dancing, with either a live band or disco going on from 8.30pm onwards. Sunday is a bit of a lazy day for us, generally having a sit down and chatting over coffee. Our pool team play in the evening and normally we have a poker game going on aswell.
We are well known in the area for our real ales with a minimum of two best quality ales on tap at any one time, Doombar being our house ales. Due to this we are a part of the looe valley real ale trail. This is comprised of a booklet detailing the pubs involved, who you get stamps from. Once all your stamps are collected you send off your booklet to claim a t-shirt, so pints really do mean prizes!
Our camping area is basic, but if we can help in any way, we're more than happy to!

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.

If you're coming to us in a car, once you've found liskeard it's easy to find us. At the end of The Parade (our high street) there is a round about, take the turning for station road ( between the blue fronted gift shop and Natwest bank on the opposite side ) then drive in a straight line. Our carpark is on the town side of the building, so slow down when you see JEFF HARRIS TYRES on the right hand side, our gate is on the right 10yards after them.
There are many things to do nearby. From the monkey and donkey sanctuaries to the lakes where you can wake board, the only problem is choosing which to do first. We're close to some scenic walking areas, fishing lakes and the quaint town center. If you fancy going further afield, the tourist information is a wealth of local knowledge and with being so close to the transport links, you can even leave the car behind.
