- Luxury yurt in a grassy clearing on a coppiced five-acre field
- On a 27-acre farm 10 minutes' drive from Liskeard and 15 from Looe
- Double bed, lanterns, sofa bed, outdoor furniture and woodburner
A lush location near Liskeard… and a luxury and cosy yurt are what’s on offer at Lower Killigorrick Farm, an adults-only site in spectacular setting with accommodation set in a grassy clearing on a coppiced five-acre field.
The farm is a 27-acre smallholding in Cornwall’s south east, 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Liskeard. South coast beaches, towns and attractions are all easily reached from here, including Looe and the Fowey estuary 15 minutes away and the Eden Project within half an hour. On the north coast, Padstow and Newquay are about 50 minutes from the farm.
The Lower Killigorrick yurt is off grid, with no electricity or running water; it’s handsomely lit by solar powered LED lights at night and provided with water from the farm’s spring (UV filtered, tested and replaced daily in containers near the yurt). A gas barbecue, dining shelter, garden table and chairs are outside the yurt and a vintage caravan kitchen close by is kitted out with crockery, utensils and plenty of storage space.
Indoors, the yurt is excellently equipped for cosy and easy stays: there’s a comfy double bed with bed linen provided, a sofa bed, a dining table and chairs, rugs, storage drawers, lanterns and a woodburning stove… light the stove, snuggle into bed and gaze up at the stars through the skylight… this is an area of low light pollution so the stargazing is often spectacular. An eco-friendly (and smell-free) compost toilet is also close to the yurt.
