- Award-winning glamping site on the banks of the Tamar river
- Eden Project, Bude, tree surfing and go-karting a 30-minute drive away
- Woodburning stove, kingsize beds, badminton, cricket and pool table
This award-winning site's setting on the Devon and Cornwall border is excellent enough – you can easily get to Clovelly and Bude to the north, the Eden Project and Fowey to the south, Dartmoor and Lydford Gorge to the south, and Lizard Point and St Ives to the west. But add in a riverside setting on the banks of the Tamar, nine acres of parkland to wander, and luxury yurts to chill out in, and you'll probably want to spend a good bit of your holiday just mooching around on site.
Set two miles from Launceston, Newmoor Park Yurts is a peaceful place in a wildlife haven, with fishing available straight from the site. Its Mongolian yurts are gorgeously kitted out (see pics) and come with kingsize memory foam beds, two futons (if required), luxury feather duvet and pillows, towels and linen.
There's a kitchen area with pots, pans, crockery, glasses, a coolbox and a stovetop kettle, an indoor dining area, a lounge area and a woodburning stove with wood supplied. Outdoor seating and a private shower and toilet are also provided.
Communal facilities include a badminton area, a trampoline, a pool table, darts and a shared firepit in the middle of the park. If you ever do decide to leave and go exploring, beaches, botanical gardens, watersports and moor roaming are all within a 30-minute drive.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.

Newmoor Park Yurts is well placed for visiting both Devon and Cornwall, and is a 30-minute drive from the Eden Project and Lydford Gorge as well as the beaches of Bude, Polperro, Port Isaac and Tintagel, for watersports, surf schools and hikes on the South West Coast Path.
Closer to home are hiking trails, go karting and intriguingly-named activities among the ladders, rope bridges, walkways and zipwires of Tree Surfers near Tavistock. A short drive away is Bodmin Moor, teeming with wildlife at Dozmary Pool and scattered with medieval ruins and monuments at villages such as Bolventor and Temple.
A castle and the Lawrence House Museum Launceston are about two miles away at Launceston, along with shops, restaurants, cafés and a Friday covered market. If you're around with (adventurous) kids, there's a skate park in town for ages four and up, and a maze, gardens and indoor and outdoor play about 15 minutes' drive away at Hidden Valley.
A petting zoo, zorb football, dodgems and huge play areas are within 10 minutes' drive at Trethorne Leisure Park, for a family day out in all weathers.
