If you are looking for a no frills camp site ... 01/10/2017

If you are looking for a no frills camp site then this would suit you, we have been staying here for the last four years and are looking forward to next year, there is always a group of about eight of us older campers and enjoy relaxing, eating, a few drinks and plenty of laughs.
There are two fields with limited hook ups and one water supply in each field, a clean toilet/shower block with gents urinals, two toilets, two showers and washing up sink/area, cleaned and restocked daily, there are also fridges and freezers if required, there are log burners if needed with logs available at £5 per bag.
The site is very basic, if you want to camp and are not bothered about having electric there are plenty of areas on the site where there are no hook ups, and although very quiet and peaceful it is on the site of a working farm so you do have the noises associated with a farm, it is also next to an old airfield that is used by Royal Navy helicopters so sometimes you get a few flying around.
We usually go in September and stay for about a week so the site is quiet and you usually get the odd camper passing through with tents, caravans or campers, we enjoy the stay while we are there, apart from setting up in the rain and wind, which does not happen very often but that is camping for you.
