  • Spacious site between farm and woodland
  • Separate tent field near a woodland stream
  • A couple of minutes' drive from Mullion and five miles from Helston

Mulling over a trip to Cornwall but want to avoid the hordes? Pitch up at peaceful Franchis Holiday Park just outside the village of Mullion on the lovely Lizard Peninsula, where generously-sized pitches across four acres mean you’ll never know the peril of having a stranger snoring two feet away from your tent. We make no promises about your other half...

Franchis Holiday Park is set between farm and woodland, with pitches across the whole park and a separate field near a woodland stream set aside for tents. Despite the space, there are numerous taps all around to save a long walk in the morning to fill up the kettle (always a bonus); a shop is open on site during busy times to supply the morning cuppa milk and other essentials.

For bigger shops or eating out, Mullion is within a couple of minutes’ drive and the town of Helston is five miles away; tourist info is on site too if you want to head further afield. Other facilities include two shower and toilet blocks with free hot water, a free freezer for ice packs, and a launderette (a small extra charge applies).

Books are around to borrow too if you’ve forgotten your bedtime reading, but you’ll have to read by torchlight as lighting on the campsite is kept to a minimum for full appreciation of the night sky and the local wildlife. Reading by torchlight while bats and owls fly and hoot overhead? Now that’s also a bonus…
