Beach view

General

  • Well-maintained family-run site under 10 minutes' drive from Falmouth
  • Spectacular views over St Mawes and Falmouth bay from the park
  • A five-minute walk from the site's own woodland for nature walks

Spectacular south Cornwall beaches and top towns…? They’re within easy reach from Trewen Farm Campsite, a family-friendly place five minutes’ drive from the coast and under 10 minutes from the seaside settlement of Falmouth.

This park’s so close to the town that stunning views of its bay can be soaked up from its open and spacious pitching field. From this peaceful and pleasant setting that allows in all ages (even those of the four-legged variety...), you can also spy the houses of St Mawes on the Roseland peninsula in the distance.

With such restful surrounds, it's no wonder the owners pride themselves on making sure all visitors a relaxing holiday, and a warm and friendly welcome’s given as soon as you step foot on this farm that’s been run by the same family for generations.

As well as a calm vibe and plenty of green space, Trewen is in a wildlife haven and a five-minute walk from the site’s own woodland for nature walks in quiet shade. The site's well maintained with lots of room for kids to play and clean shower and toilet facilities. Barbecues are allowed as well, so you can cook over coals after a lope around the lush setting.

Fancy going further? Just off site, Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Gardens are a few miles away and weeks’ worth of Cornish highlights are within very easy reach: have days out at the seal sanctuary at Gweek, hike the mighty trails of the South West Coast Path, or drive a short distance west to take in the sights of the Lizard Heritage Coast.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

The view from the campsite is really stunning. We also met a lovely couple who were also camping. The facilities are good enough and the owner is a really nice woman.

Local attractions

If you’ll be making forays to Falmouth, meander around the maritime museum, browse the boutiques or set sail on the sea with one of the organised boat trips.

If you’re itching to ride the waves instead, head towards Newquay (50 minutes) for lessons and rentals on the renowned surf beach of Fistral or navigate your way to the cove at St Agnes a touch closer at 40 minutes away. Drop by the famed Finisterre factory here too for rifling racks of trendy outdoor clothing made in Britain.

Once you’ve picked up a new jacket or two, make your way to Pendennis Castle (20 minutes away) for a bracing walk around this artillery fort built by Henry VIII. Other cultural buildings are over in Truro half an hour's drive away, which is known for its rather grand cathedral.

  • National Maritime Museum Cornwall (2.2 miles)
  • Trebah Garden (2.5 miles)
