Well Farm's glamping pods are modern camping pods with many home comforts, in a warm and cosy space tucked into an old orchard on the farm for guests' peace and privacy.
The farm has barbecue areas, a shared play area, a riverside paddock for picnics, and fly fishing (bring your own rods and licence) on the River Tamar or River Deer. A four-seat hot tub is on the deck in front of the glamping pods, for country views and glittering stars on a dark clear night (please book as an optional extra).
Also on site is a spacious bathroom pod with a flushing toilet, running water and a power shower. A commercial sink for food prep and washing up is at the back of the lodge.
Groceries from Whitstone village store can be ordered in advance and delivered in time for arrival.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Cottages are in the village of North Tamerton on the Cornwall side of the Cornwall/Devon border. Just to confuse you, we have a Devon postal address!
From the M5 at Exeter, take the A30 towards Okehampton/Launceston/Bodmin. At Launceston, exit at the Pennygillam roundabout for Launceston/Bude/Holsworthy. Follow the signs for the B3254 to Bude. After about nine miles you will see a right-hand turning marked 'North Tamerton 2 ½'. Take this turning – it is a country lane with farmland on either side.
Upon entering the village you will see terraced bungalows on the left and houses to the right. Proceed down the hill straight through the small crossroads (church on left set back from the road). After a further 100m the road bends slightly to the left and you will see the entrance to Cottages on your left. Proceed up the drive – you have arrived!
If you reach the stone bridge at the bottom of the hill, you have missed the entrance – do a U-turn.
Your satnav may direct you cross country through Halwill, Holsworthy etc – this may be a slightly shorter route but will probably take longer.
A wealth of choice is close by for those who want to be active on holiday, from the beaches and sea pool at nearby Bude, bodyboarding or surfing at Widemouth Bay, canoeing along the Bude Canal, cycling along the Ruby, Tarka or Camel trails, sailing at Tamar or Roadford Lakes, golfing at the numerous nearby courses and sea fishing from famed Clovelly village.
Surf schools are 20 minutes away at Bude, including the Big Blue Surf School, which has disabled surfing instruction for under 18s. Several riding stables are nearby if you love anything equestrian.
For quieter days, stroll around the walks and trails of the surrounding countryside, fish for trout on the Deer and Tamar rivers, or take a short drive to access the spectacular coastline, South West Coast Path and beaches of Bude, Widemouth and Crackington Haven. Dartmoor is a short distance inland.
Also on offer are trips to Port Isaac, home of the popular Doc Martin TV series; sampling seafood at Rick Stein's restaurant in Padstow; exploring the Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and climbing the tor to visit Brentor Church on Dartmoor.
Attractions include the play centre and leisure pool at Bude, Bude Castle, the Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep, the legends and history of King Arthur at the Arthurian Centre and Tintagel Castle, the Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre, Crealy Adventure Park, Wadebridge and Lanhydrock House at Bodmin.
