General

  • Peaceful park with spectacular sea and countryside views
  • A mile from Boscastle
  • A short distance from the South West Coast Path

Spectacular sunsets, smashing views, spying seals and all a mere mile from Boscastle... things sound tre-mendous at north Cornwall's Trebyla Farm. It's on the north Cornish coast (also tre-mendous) and within easy walking distance of seeing the marine mammals, birds of prey and other wildlife around the splendid South West Coast Path.

Plenty of other walks surround this peaceful place, including a mile-long meander to the several pubs, restaurants and shops of Boscastle, but if you want to travel by wheels a bus stop is just outside the farm entrance.

Guests have access to a spacious wetroom on site and there's a washing-up area and facilities for ice pack freezing.

For supplies, travel ten or 15 minutes from Trebyla to a newly open farm shop selling fresh local produce as well as dishing up sizeable cooked breakfasts.

Please note

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Under 21s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Peace and quiet and a lovely view. Lovely walk along the coastal path but a very steep walk back to the site from the village . . Not for the faint hearted. Noticed a lot of negative feed back on other reviews about the showers etc but we found them adequate . . All sites have certain rush hour for the shower so obviously avoid these times. If you want luxury don't go camping. Basic and affordable just as we happy campers like it

Site was quiet and very convenient for access to both Boscastle and the Coast Path.
Lovely views across the Cornish country side and towards the sea.
    Owners were friendly and helpful.

    Disliked:

Facilities are basic though always clean with plenty of hot-water.
Few level pitches are available but then this is Cornwall so to be expected.

Beautiful views from our pitch which we were able to choose ourselves . Toilets nice and clean but might have been nicer to have not been shared . Nice friendly welcome when we arrived too .

    Disliked:

Dogs were allowed to run free and there were quite a few . This would have been fine had the owners picked their mess up after them especially as there were a lot of children playing .

Great view. Facilities did the job. Lots of space for children to play.

The farm is on a slope so we found it difficult to sleep without rolling into each other. The area where the cars drive got very muddy from over use

Directions

We are situated on the B3263, 1 mile from the Bude side of Boscastle. From Boscastle, head north on Old Road toward New Road/B3263 and proceed for about 2 miles. Look out for our signpost on your left.

Please note that if using Sat Nav with our postcode it will take you to a small hamlet called Beeny along some very narrow lanes. Do not turn off the B3263 but continue down towards Boscastle for approximately 1/4 mile. The campsite is on the right-hand side.

Local attractions

One of the most famed things about Boscastle, just down the road from Trebyla Farm, is its Museum of Witchcraft, immortalised by we Pitchup.commers as one of our faves in all the land.

The village should keep you going for a bit after a dip into the witchcraft museum, even if you just sit and stare at its scenic harbour from one of its two stone walls... If you fancy delving into a bit more history, the National Trust has a visitor centre in Boscastle's Old Smithy (and if not, there are a few interesting little shops around).

The South West Coast Path is accessed from here – we recommend the walk to Arthurian Tintagel – and those who want to stay active will find horse riding, fishing and golfing opps in the area too.

This is of course surfing country as well, or you could stick to exploring the rockpools among the many sandy beaches around this part of coast.

Must see

  • Tintagel Castle (4.7 miles)
  • Rock Beach (15.4 miles)
  • Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park (18.5 miles)

National Trust

  • Tintagel Old Post Office (4.5 miles)
  • Lawrence House (13.9 miles)
