  • Friendly site in a tree-filled valley near Bodmin Moor
  • Well-maintained and peaceful park in a wildlife haven
  • Easy drive to both coasts and five minutes' ride to the Camel Trail
Escape with a break to Ruthern Valley Holidays… At this friendly site in a tree-filled valley near Bodmin Moor, the emphasis is on making the most of the natural surroundings – think birds and rabbits rather than bingo nights, and a gently meandering stream instead of the boom of a disco bar. The site is carefully laid out to offer visitors the maximum space and seclusion possible. Kids will have a blast roaming around the woods building dens and wildlife spotting, chatting to the resident chickens and pigs, and bouncing around the leafy playground area. Ruthern Valley Holidays also has a licensed shop selling bangers, other local goodies and some essential camping gear. Other amenities include solar-heated showers, toilets, a laundry and washing-up facilities.

10-amp electric grass and gravel pitch

Liked: I loved the surroundings, tranquil and beautiful. Easy check in and a 10 minute drive away from the services which have a Mountain Warehouse (we had a blip with our tent so having that nearby was extremely useful). The shower and toilets around the back of the toilet block were lovely and clean, they also provided heating which was very much needed.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Lovely woodland setting, obviously very quiet due to time of year which was perfect for us. Limited access to water but this was unavoidable due to the cold weather. Very clean toilets and shower. The owner was really helpful with our caravan.

Disliked: Nothing about the site, but worth planning the driving route well as we ended up down some single track lanes.

10-amp electric grass and gravel pitch

Liked: Great comunication. Let me know about diversions and vest route to take. Great little place plenty of space not ontop of each other. Good little shop and a park to entertain for kids.

Disliked: Few tight lanes but more the negotiable we stayed in or ford transit jumbo high top plus roof bsrs is 11ft. And we are about 9ft with to bars and bumper bars. No problem.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Location

Disliked: Utility services, only grey water disposal with water tap inoperative. No Elsan point by toilet block. No drain or water tap at motorhome pitch.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We are glad to hear you liked the location of your stay! We are surprised to hear you didn't find the chemical disposal point which is situated by the bins at the toilet block - if you had asked one of us we could have helped direct you to it! Thank you for your feedback, we hope to welcome you back again in the future.
