  • A peaceful site in the heart of the country, close to sea and city

A lovely rural site in the heart of West Sussex, just a stone's throw from the beautiful city of Chichester. We are in lovely countryside and yet just 10 minutes from the beaches of Selsey, Bracklesham Bay, the Witterings and the famous Selsey Bill.

With two acres there is plenty of space to spread out. Each pitch has electric hook up and we have a toilet for use by campers.

We have 11 pitches. Five Caravan Club grass pitches where members have an acre to spread out. The pitch price for Caravan and Motorhome Club members is £20 per night, including electric hook-up.

Our other pitches are £22 per night, including electric hook-up and we can offer hardstandings on a first-come, first-served basis.

The owners have created a brilliant little site and are so friendly. 01/09/2016

A friendly greeting on arrival then shown to a spacious hardstandings pitch. The five Caravan Club pitches are all grass, separate from the touring park but the views and sunsets over the fields are amazing.

The owners Al & Isabel have been so busy since our first visit creating a new toilet/shower block finished to a high standard. The house has been completed and enhances the whole feel of the campsite.

Most people who use the CL or CS's expect to use their own facilities but a £1.00 for a shower is well worth it.

Great new chemical disposal point and rubbish and recycling bins.

    Dog friendly.

This is such a great base for walking. Armed with the right map, from site you are able to go on a long walk or a shorter walk. For those wanting more of a challenge a short drive away and you have access to the South Downs with spectacular views out to rolling countryside and out to sea.

Those wanting relaxation can just stay on your pitch with a good book.

No light pollution means on a clear night you are treated to a great star filled sky.

A pub only a five minute walk serving good food and ale is a bonus as is a regular bus service into Chichester or Selsey. Bus stops within walking distance.

At times the noise from the road can be annoying but really would not put me off going again. It does not affect your sleep.

We are on the B2145 road between Chichester and Selsey. Look out for the Sidlesham sign and then look out for the Anchor Inn pub on your left, we are about 100 yards further on, on the right-hand side, opposite the thatched cottage.

(If you are using satnav you may find that it takes you past us – so look out for the pub and the thatched cottage and if you reach the garage on the right-hand side you have gone too far.)

Local attractions

If watersports are your thing, then try out the surfing or kitesurfing at Bracklesham Bay with its cafe right on the beach. Visit nearby East Wittering with a whole host of friendly shops and cafes - my favourite is the Drift-in Surf Cafe (excellent cappuccinos!) or spend the day on the beautiful West Wittering beach, with plenty of space for picnics, walks, or relaxing on the wide stretch of sand that lines the shore.

For walkers and nature lovers, we are just 10 minutes from RPSGB Pagham Harbour and Medmerry Nature Reserve.

If you fancy a city break we are just 10 minutes from the beautiful city of Chichester, with its thirteenth century cathedral and thriving centre. We are in the perfect place if you plan a visit to Goodwood for its famous Festival of Speed (25-28 June 2015) and the Goodwood Revival (11-15 September 2015).

And if you are heading over to Europe then we are just a stone’s throw from the ferry at Portsmouth, making Fieldgate an ideal stopover site.

Even closer to home, there are two stunning golf courses just two minutes drive away - with a newly built crazy golf - ideal for all the family. You can leave your caravan or motorhome safe on your pitch and get the bus - with a bus stop right outside the campsite. The bus service is excellent - every 15 minutes to and from Chichester - or you can explore as far away as Brighton, Arundel, Portsmouth and Bognor.

When you return from your day out you can relax in the friendly Anchor pub which is just across the road from the campsite.
