- Peaceful countryside setting for relaxing breaks
- Rural, dog-friendly site less than an hour from London
- Modern washroom with hot showers and toilets
Clothes, food and possibly some vino is all that's needed on a break at Longberry Farm Glamping, where the highly thoughtful owners have added all you can think of and then some.
Accommodation here is in luxury bell tents, kitted out with all sorts including bed linen and towels, crockery and cooking equipment, fridge and freezer, microwave, cushions, pillows, candles and even an iPod dock… Each also comes with an outdoor patio, outdoor seating, a gas barbecue and a firepit; buy wood from the owners and settle back alongside flames and under stars.
Longberry is a small, family-run glampsite for short breaks, romantic weekends and longer countryside hols. It's about a mile outside the rural Kent village of Bethersden which has two popular pubs serving food daily, a local village shop for supplies, a post office and an acclaimed butcher where you can pick up fresh meat for the barbie. Several more pubs as well as restaurants are in the surrounding villages.
As well as all the kit added to your splendidly swish bell tent, a modern washroom with hot showers and toilets is also on site – and also kitted out to luxury standards.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.

Although surrounded by beautiful countryside and rural villages Longberry farm is still conveniently located for travel by both road and rail. The site is located 12 minutes by car from Junction 9, off the M20, alternatively the site can be less than 40 minutes away from London via train. Longberry farm also provides a taxi service at no extra charge if you are arriving at either Ashford International or Pluckily rail stations.
Entrance to the site is via the gate signposted “Longberry Farm Glamping”
Leave the M20 at Junction 9, take the third exit at Roundabout (Ashford/Tenterden A28). Follow the road marked A28 Ashford and take the third exit at roundabout (Tenterden/Great Chart A28). Head straight across traffic lights and take again the third exit at the next roundabout following signposts for Tenterden/Great Chart A28. Continue to follow the A28 through two roundabouts. Turn right onto Old Surrenden Manor Road (s.post Pluckley) and at the crossroads turn right onto Fridd Lane. Take the first right onto Etchden Road (s.post Great Chart). Longberry Farm Glamping will be on your right.
Several scenic walks start from the farm's front gate and you can easily access longer hikes like the seven and a half miles or so over Crundale Downs and the local stretch of the 153-mile North Downs Way. The 108 miles of the Greensand Way, running from Surrey's Haslemere, passes the nearby village of Kingsnorth on its way to its final stop at Hamstreet.
For Kent sands, the beaches of Dymchurch, Camber and Hythe all under 15 miles away are home to a varied lot for days out including the world’s smallest public railway at the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway; long stretches of sands; donkeys and amusements, and another (slightly more doable) walk along the 22-mile Elham Valley Way from Hythe to Canterbury Cathedral.
If you're feeling more driven to explore the land of Chaucer, the Kent capital is about half an hour away from Longberry by car. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most visited cities in Britain and is crammed with sights to see as well as its magnif cathedral, such as the Roman Museum, Canterbury Castle and the Rupert Bear Museum at Canterbury Heritage Museum.
Other options are the leisure centres, pools, museum, designer outlet and weekly market at the nearby old town of Ashford, or day trips at the old castles of the area such as Leeds and Dover.
