Great site, plenty of space, nice facilities and swimming pool 14/08/2016

  • Liked:

First impressions were great, the staff were friendly and gave us plenty of information about the area (including a list of dog friendly pubs and beaches), before showing us to our pitch.

We opted for one of the electric only pitches although there were some that also shared a tap with 1 other pitch (plenty of others available anyway). Prior to arriving I was advised that our Rhapsody would fit but the extension wouldn't. On pitching we could have attached the side awning but that would have lead to us probably reaching both boundaries., there was also plenty of room in front of the tent. The site was very busy but didn't feel crowded.

The facilities were always clean and tidy, there are 2 toilet blocks. We were near the older block so used that one, which was still nicer than a lot of sites. 1 benefit of the older block is that the showers have proper taps rather than the push buttons in the newer block. The only thing to note is that hot water takes a while to come through, they do put signs up advising to make sure the taps are running hot before showering.

The pool was very nice and our son loved spending time in it. We made use of the take away on a couple of nights and found the food very nice and the prices weren't unreasonable either (£7/8 for a pizza). Cant really comment on the clubhouse as we didn't use it. As with other sites I imagine because the clubhouse had discos etc, it mean the site tended to be a little noisy (kids playing etc) until about 11pm, however after that it quickly quietened down.
In short Yes I would recommend and Yes I would go back again. Overall probably 4/5.

    Disliked:

Unfortunately it didn't seem as the wardens tend to enforce the site rules (not that I could find a list of them anywhere).
