Under new ownership for 2015, Roebeck Country Park is an independent, family-run park which lies within its own 14 acres of pasture and woodland, with a well-stocked coarse fishing lake which is open all season. Enjoying panoramic views over the Ashey Valley and downs to the south, this is a beautiful and tranquil setting yet still only a few minutes from the famous Appley Beach at Ryde with its impressive gothic tower.
With safe, sandy beaches nearby, and just a five-minute drive to the hustle and bustle of Ryde (the second largest town on the Isle of Wight) with its huge choice of restaurants, cafés, bars, quirky boutiques, the site and its surrounds really do cater for all tastes and budgets. The site is an ideal base from which to explore our beautiful isle in the Solent and enjoy its micro climate, and it’s only a few short miles by ferry from Portsmouth. You can choose to leave the car and walk, use public transport to get out and about, or simply just relax with a fishing rod around our peaceful fishing lake!
Well-behaved pets are very welcome, subject of course to them being kept under strict control and kept on a lead. You can walk your dog in our wooded areas or explore the many miles of coastal and country walks the island has to offer.
The park has a well-maintained toilet and shower block which also offers laundry facilities, and ample picnic areas suitable for campfires. Along with everything Ryde has to offer, a large Tesco hypermarket is just a short drive away and there is a small convenience store just a couple of minutes’ drive away.

You can now make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children on Pitchup.com.
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
Use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together when booking multiple pitches: the campsite or park will try to grant your request.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
