Why not enter some details and get an accurate price?

It’s all about the three Rs at award-winning Heathfield Farm Camping on the Isle of Wight…Or possibly four. Or five? These nine acres of countryside are decidedly relaxed and rural; the well-kept amenities have been recently refurbished; and, as it’s a wildlife haven, it’s a fairly reasonable bet you’ll see a resident red squirrel or two: Heathfield has been the recipient of over a dozen David Bellamy Gold Conservation Awards and carefully manages its habitat to attract local birds and beasties.

Running around is a breeze too, with a wildflower meadow for canines to roll around in and a roomy playing field for ball games and kids to let off steam – parents can ensure relaxation while this happens by prepping dinner/supping wine at the adjacent barbecue areas and picnic tables.

As mentioned among the Rs above, the amenity buildings at Heathfield Farm Camping are refurbished and up to date: guests have access to showers and loos, hairdryers and shaver points, wash cubicles and a separate wheelchair-accessible room with shower and toilet, all kept to smartly high standards. Specially planted native trees and shrubs shelter most of the park’s roomy and marked pitches, all of which are level, easily accessible and with electric hook-up.

Although Heathfield has a remote and rural feel, its West Wight location is only a mile from the shops and eating emporia of Freshwater village. Once you’re ready to venture off a-field, the new tourist information office has stacks of literature on what to do locally, and the information board on site has maps with colour coded walks into bridlepaths of the surrounding countryside. Even more handily, the island’s bus network has a stop outside the park – just the ticket for some restful roaming…

Additional terms

Empowerment for all aspects of the site operation lies with the wardens. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate the stay of any person(s) creating a nuisance to others.

Unless the park is notified of a non-arrival on the specified date, the management reserve the right to relet the pitch the following day.

On arrival at Heathfield Farm Camping, all guests are required to check in at reception before pitching using the designated check in lane. The wardens will do their best to meet customers' preferences and requirements wherever possible when allocating pitches. Please inform us when making your booking of any special requests regarding location as it is very possible that the changing of pitches on arrival is not permitted. There are site management issues and safety standards which also have to be met, and guests are required to follow the wardens' direction when pitching. This is for the safety and well being of all guests.

In exceptional circumstances due to poor ground conditions there may be a situation where a certain pitch may not be available. The wardens will endeavour to find an alternative pitch. If this is not possible due to heavy demand a full pitch refund will be given.

All units, excluding guy lines, must be 3 metres apart. This is a required by law as a precaution against fire. Vehicles can be parked between units, provided that a 1.5 metre clear space is left within the 3 metre gap.

All property and refuse must be removed when vacating a pitch.

Heathfield Camping reserves the right to move your prebooked pitch to a one of equal or greater size. You will be notified of any changes immediately. If you are staying with other friends on site, please state this on your booking form as we cannot guarantee pitches together after the booking has been confirmed.

We welcome dogs but it is important they are kept under control at all times and are exercised only in the meadow or off site. It is the owners' responsibility to clean up after their pet. The wardens may inform any guest to remove their dog from site if, in their opinion, it is creating a nuisance to others.

Campfires and any exposed naked flames are strictly not permitted. BBQs are allowed provided they are raised off the ground. Bricks are provided for this opposite reception. A charge of £10 is made if any grass on the pitch is damaged from the improper use of barbecues.

Noise should be kept to a reasonable level at all times. This particularly applies to audio equipment /instruments. The site barrier closes at 10.30pm and from this time noise should be kept to an absolute minimum out of respect to other guests. Vehicle running and movement is prohibited on site between 10.30pm and 7am, at which time the site barrier will reopen.

Please use the games field for all ball and recreational games. Please note that kite flying is strictly prohibited on site because of overhead power lines.

When disposing of sanitary items, including nappies, it is important that they are first put into a nappy bag and then placed in the receptacles provided; do not flush any such items down the toilet. Only treated waste must be disposed of in the chemical disposal point.

We have a no-smoking policy in all the site buildings.

Children should be under the supervision of their parent/guardian at all times and never be left on the park on their own. Young children should be accompanied when using the toilets and shower facilities.

There is a strict speed limit of 5mph on the park. Please respect this for noise disturbance and the safety of children.

We regret that generators are not permitted on the park.

Heathfield Farm Camping accepts no responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage to persons or their property arising from the use of the site or its facilities.

If guests have a problem or complaint during their holiday, they should in the first instance bring this to the attention of the site wardens. It will be dealt with as sympathetically and helpfully as possible. In order for us to investigate and implement corrective action wherever necessary, we cannot entertain complaints made after a guest has left the park.

The proprietors/wardens will immediately terminate your holiday contract should any person be involved in conduct prejudicial to the well-being of others. Heathfield Farm Camping shall not be liable for injury, death, loss, damage, accident or additional expense, however caused, occasioned to or incurred by any other guest or other person.

All our staff are trained to be courteous and polite to guests, and we expect our guests to extend the same courtesy to our staff. Any person who is rude, offensive or aggressive towards our staff will be required to leave the park and no refund will be given.
