Despite its name, guests at Brocklands Farm are highly unlikely to be badgered by anyone during their stay. This beautifully simple and peaceful site near Petersfield, in the South Downs National Park, has just 15 roomy pitches for caravans and motorhomes, hidden far from traffic noise in a lush green valley, surrounded by lovely walks.
The onsite facilities are limited to chemical waste disposal and a drinking water supply, but it’s an easy walk to the village of West Meon, where there’s a pub that serves top-notch grub, an award-winning butcher and a village shop selling local speciality produce.
The pitches are grassy and fairly level; rally groups and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
The tree-lined former railway line that runs next to Brocklands Farm is an ideal starting point for rambles and cycle rides; a popular destination a couple of miles away is Old Winchester Hill, a nature reserve with an Iron Age Hill fort. Brocklands Farm is also very handy for the South Downs Way, for those who want to walk or pedal further afield.
The Watercress Line heritage railway, which runs from New Alresford to Alton, is another lovely way to explore the Hampshire countryside; or if you prefer to stay put, you could always park yourself in a picturesque spot at the Moorhen Trout Fishery up the road.
For a fulfilling day trip, wend your way to winsome Winchester: if you’re lucky, you may catch the famous choir in action within the splendour of the 900-year-old cathedral; other visitor attractions in this charming and compact city include a range of excellent museums, castle ruins, and an Arthurian round table, plus fab restaurants and independent shops.
Chi-chi Chichester is another pleasant place to while away a day, or you could head to Portsmouth to take a harbour tour and visit the historic dockyards, where HMS Victory and the Mary Rose are among the fascinating naval exhibits on display.

From the manager...
I'm delighted you enjoyed our simple site. We aim to give people a chance to enjoy the natural environment and do some 'real camping'.
What you refer to as the toilet is in fact the chemical emptying point. We do not have a toilet as we only take people who come with their own toilet. I apologise if you had not understood that. We do try and make it clear in all our advertising that we do not have toilet facilities.
Alas, no reviews for your selected filters. But reviews are brilliant - they help thousands of other people to find the right holiday. Be bold, be the first to review this site. It only takes a minute.

About 500 metres south of the village of West Meon, turn into Brocklands Farm entrance. There is a big sign for Meadowlea Saddlery, as well as a smaller sign for Brocklands Farm. Keep straight ahead leaving farm buildings to your right and continue up a concrete track and under a bridge. The site is just under the disused railway bridge.
