  • Private yurt in a Sussex countryside apple orchard
  • A 10-minute drive from Battle and 20 from Hastings
  • Handcrafted wooden furniture, hemlock floor and handmade double bed
Apple Tree Yurts is a flourishing new venture in scenic east Sussex countryside, 20 minutes north of the coast. The yurt is in its own private and peaceful area, in a pretty apple orchard. It's been constructed using excellent quality materials and furnished in a rustic style: much of the furniture has been handcrafted from ash wood and there are soft sheepskins, plump cushions and a luxurious handmade double bed. The yurt is also equipped with a wood burner, gas-powered hob and cooking utensils. There's plenty of space for recreational pursuits, as well as a barbecue and picnic bench. The yurt is on a solid foundation with a polished hemlock floor inside. The ash roof is constructed from 60 individual wooden poles connected to a central crown wheel, which is in turn supported by posts to the floor. Cotton, canvas and a chestnut lattice provide insulation and protection.
