Peel House Farm is a small peaceful 3* site situated between Polegate and Eastbourne in open farmland on the edge of the Pevensey levels with views of the South Downs and access to the Cuckoo Trail.

Eastbourne claims to be one of the sunniest places in the Country, making it an ideal place for walking on the South Downs Way, the 1066 trail or one of the many Country Parks.

We offer 20 touring spaces (caravan, motorhome or tents), 5 rental van's for hire (5 private) and an overflow field for tents during peak times. Recreation field, children's play area in a generously sized meadow, tuck shop we stock LPG Calor Gas, heated toilet block, family sized rooms with baby change, undercover dish-washing (with hot water).

In addition to caravan storage we offer 'store and stay'. The advantages of 'store & stay' (1) no need for a tow bar + save on fuel bills. (2) no charges for us to tow your caravan in/out (3) cheaper caravan insurance if you always stay with us.

We are not accessed via Sayerland Lane as the address suggests. We are accessed via B2104 (Ersham Road) between Hailsham and Stonecross and have been for 20 years. Sayerland Lane is a single lane and difficult to pass oncoming traffic (avoid).

Peel House Farm is an old farm that is now accessed via an alternative route due to the single lane of the original gate in Sayerland Lane, we are now accessed via the B2104.
The B2104 is parallel to the A22 and allows easy access. We recommend that you plan an ‘auto route’ to Stone Cross or Hailsham and then follow our directions. Please note that we are not situated in Sayerland Lane as our postal address may suggest.

From Hailsham pick up the B2104 (opposite the M&S BP Garage)

The B2104 is also known locally as Ersham Road/ Hailsham Road. You will pass a number of residential houses/bungalows. Ersham Farm is on the left before taking a bend with a pond to the right of you. Continue along the road passing:

Summerdale B&B, on left

A pedestrian crossing (access to Cuckoo Trail),

‘World of Water’, on the right

‘Small Garden Centre’, on the left

followed by

‘The Old Loom Mill’ on the right. Indicate now (next entrance on right).

From Stone Cross pick up the B2104 (known locally as Hailsham Road), at The Lion Pub, crossroad

Local attractions

There are numerous local attractions in fact you are completely spoiled for choice. There are natural attractions with The Cuckoo Trail, South Downs National Park, Seven Sisters, Beachy Head the list is endless. Local man-made attractions provide families with endless fun our all time favourites include Miniature Railway Park, Knockhatch being the closest, a 15/20 minute car journey will find Drusillas and not forgetting The Hastings Adventure. Nearby Paradise Park, Newhaven Fort, Blackberry Farm, Stock Car Racing. We also have many historic attractions to include nearby Pevensey Castle, Herstmonceux Castle, Charlston, Lewes Attractions. Set in countryside we are surrounded by many farm shops that promote food at its best.

The Cuckoo Trail lends itself nicely to Cycling and Walking in natural wildlife. There are many routes and maps to support a really fun day out!

Additional terms

•Arrival/Departure times: You may check in from 2pm (After 4pm in Static Caravans). All pitches must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day of departure unless by prior arrangement.
•Access: The entrance barrier will be locked between the hours of 11pm and 8am allowing pedestrian access only. Should you wish to arrive or depart with your vehicle during these locked hours there is some parking in the site entrance, but cars parked here must be removed by 8.00am the following morning and all vehicles are left at owners risk.
•Parking: we have limited parking available and ask that all customers and guests respect the 1 car per pitch rule at all times. Additional day parking can be found at The Old Loom Mill (next door), however the gate is locked after closing.
•Driving Speed: For the safety of park users – a strict 5mph speed restriction applies throughout the Park. Please
•Fires: Open fires are not permitted. Barbeques are allowed only if kept off the grass (bricks are usually stored at the BBQ’s must be disposed of in the designated area check with a member of staff. NO OPEN FIRES
•Rubbish/Recycling: Rubbish must be broken down and disposed of in the bins provided. Rubbish must not be disposed of in the field boundaries. Large items MUST be taken home with you.
•Rental Customers are asked to leave holiday homes and contents tidy and clean when vacating. All kitchen equipment and utensils must cleaned and be put away. Please leave bed linen on floor in bathroom. All damages or breakages of fittings, utensils, crockery, cutlery etc must be reported to Reception and will be charged.
•Ball Games: No ball games (football, cricket, tennis etc) are allowed in the main camping/static fields. Please feel free to use the meadow for recreational purpose but remember to respect others and keep away from the campers please.
•Children under the age of 18 - children must not be allowed to play in or around the facilities block or in the park entrance - we stress that children must be supervised at all times. Regular checks should be made by parent/carers when using the play park (especially in the main gate area as there is a risk of entrapment).The play equipment is for children under the age of 12. Children must NOT be given the gate number.
•Dogs: All dogs must be kept on a lead (under 1.8mtrs), accompanied by an adult and kept under control at all times whilst on the site. Any dog mess must be cleared up immediately. Children must not walk dogs on their own under any circumstances. Strictly no dangerous breeds or bull terriers (sorry we are family/couples site). Dogs should be exercised off site along the Cuckoo Trail (routes available).
•Water: No paddling pools, No washing of caravans/cars or any other excessive water usage permitted. Strictly no hose pipes to be used.
•Bicycles: Riding bicycles is not permitted between caravans; please ensure that you or your children dismount.
•Motors: The use of mini Quad-bikes, motorised bikes and scooters is strictly forbidden.
•Generators: No generators are allowed.
•Clothes Lines: No clothes lines are permitted throughout the Park.
•Music & Noise: Please respect other people’s right to peace and quiet at all times, especially 11pm – 8am.
•Damage & Nuisance: We will not tolerate the causing of any damage or the creating of annoyance to customers on site. Anyone causing a nuisance should be reported to reception, and we will endeavour to resolve the problem. Persons continually causing a nuisance to others will be evicted from the site without a refund as we will not tolerate any antisocial behaviour. Please note that all damages must be paid for. It is our aim to promote a family friendly environment and therefore the use of illegal substances and excessive alcohol is forbidden. No smoking is permitted in public areas.
•Trading: Trading is strictly forbidden in the park other than by those authorised to do so by the management.
•Strictly no commercial vans/trucks sign written or not
•Strictly Hen & Stag Parties or Single Sex Groups - Minimum Age 25
•Strictly no works must be carried out on site.
•Visitors: We welcome visitors but restrict this to one car per pitch (see additional charges). Visitors dogs are strictly not allowed on site. Please note that at times we may need to restrict the number of visitors on site. All visitors must park in visitor parking and book in prior to entering the site.
•Please Note: Peel House Farm Caravan Park and facilities are available for your use and enjoyment at your own risk. We will not accept any liability for loss and/or damage caused to equipment, personal possession/property/vehicles or personal injury. These rules have been put in place for your own safety and security and to ensure that all of our customers have an enjoyable stay, therefore we ask that all our customers and guests respect them.
