General

  • A digital detox on a family-run farm
  • Near a walking route leading to two local pubs
  • Mini concierge service: order wine, chocolates and barbecue meat

Pre-pitched at Vine Cross is a small family-run site, welcoming campers to enjoy a 'no news, only views' digital detox in a countryside setting. Off-ground barbecues and firepits can be used (no campfires please): you can hire either on site or bring your own.

Located off the beaten track by an arable farming land, the campsite caters for families and small, quiet groups looking for a back-to-basics holiday with optional extra comforts. The on-site mini concierge service allows guests to prebook chocolate boxes, wine cases and barbecue meat to be delivered to your pitch so that you only need to show up and enjoy the holiday.

Being a rural site, the facilities are basic and only include eco-friendly toilets, so please, remember to take a portable shower with you.

The campsite is near a walking route leading to several local pubs and has easy access to the Cuckoo Trail.

Hard to Review 16/08/2016

Strange place to review. Setting was excellent, owner very friendly and accommodating, but the services were none existent! I don't remember seeing anything on the booking page, but basically no running water, no showers, no bin facility and the loo was a waste high dome tent that you couldn't get in. It's a converted field so the pitches have been cut down, but unfortunatley so have the stinging nettles, so when you pitch your tent your hands get stung!
It's a real shame because the location was great, and there's a nice village pub about 1.5 miles up the road, bbq and fire pits as allowed and we layed in bed listening to owls and wildlife, it's just the lack of any facilities. If there were showers and toilets I'd definitely stay again, but not without!
