General

  • Peaceful family-run park on manor estate with fishing and horse riding
  • Cuckoo Trail walking and cycling two minutes away
  • New additional toilet block with underfloor heating and disabled room

A family-run and friendly park on a manor estate, perfect for touring East Sussex and the garden of England, or as a peaceful and beautiful countryside destination in its own right.

We have a small shop at reception stocking basic provisions such as milk, rolls and eggs. You can also experience our superb new additional toilet block with underfloor heating, large, spacious showers, private wash cubicles and a carefully designed and fully equipped disabled room. We have a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, both coin-operated.

Our first of two fields offers level pitches throughout, a motorhome service point and wifi coverage across the park. For our younger visitors, there is a play area on site and a further one on the adjacent village. We have on-site activities organised throughout the season.

There is a dog walking area close to the site and we also have a dog shower and dog water bowls on site. On the manor estate you will find fishing, horse riding, the Lakeside Café and Bar, and peaceful walks through the woods.

Local buses serve all major towns in the area or you can bring your bike and explore the countryside on the Cuckoo Trail, just two minutes away from the park. The village of Horam is nearby with a full range of shops and, of course, the local pub.

Free wifi, although it did seem to struggle a bit

    Disliked:

Minor: Our electric pitch was a long way from electric point, had to borrow an extra extension lead (but I think ours was the only electric pitch in that position)

A bit pricy compared to similar alternatives

Great site, brilliant for families, very clean, very helpful staff 04/09/2017

  • Liked:

    - Great sized and well marked pitches. Two fields; we were in field that was furthest away. Slight incline but not that noticeable.
    - Very family friendly. Our young ones made plenty of friends.
    - Small play park for younger children (plus additional park next to village hall at Campsite entrance).
    - Excellent toilet, shower, washroom facilities. Regularly cleaned. We only used the older block - there is another newer facility block but we never ventured that way.
    - Great base camp for local attractions. Highly recommend Drusillas Zoo. Hastings about 50 mins away; great day out.
    - Very helpful staff.
    - Supermarkets nearby as well as a good choice of local shops.
    - Highly recommend The Gun pub which is 5 mins drive away. Brilliant for young children.
    - Wi-Fi available.
    - Changeover of ice blocks available.

    Disliked:

    - Our electric hook up was quite away from our pitch and our 15m lead wouldn't reach. Raised it with staff and they kindly lent us an additional extension with no hassle.
