General

We are located in a beautiful spot at the base of the East Sussex Downs, 15 minutes away from Eastbourne coast and beaches. Just off the A22, adjacent to Knockhatch Adventure Park and ski slope, the campsite is relaxingly peaceful. The site is surrounded by Oak trees with a lake along one side and Knockhatch adventure park neighbouring the other side.

We also have the facility to allow fishing in the adjacent lake.

We do offer the facility to store your caravan over the winter times. Due to the dates being out of our open season, you will not be able to stay in your caravan, this service is just storage. Please visit the website for more information.

  • Liked:

The location was good as it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. It is conveniently situated next to Knockhatch Adventure Park which was brilliant and excellent value.

You can also hire fire pits on site as well which was great.

    Disliked:

The site needs to be looked after better. It is very dated and the facilities at this site are very poor. There are only 2 mixed showers which were not very clean. There are 3 ladies loos and 3 gents loos. There is 1 very old hot water boiler tap in the small washing up area which did not last long enough to fill your bowl up! There was also water dripping off the internal lights in the washing up room which was a bit worrying.

There are disused, old caravans around the edges of the site and this was not nice to look at.

The site had a lot of people there when we arrived and there was no way everyone would have been able to use the facilities - we ended up using the local swimming pool!!

There is no playground or swings for the kids to play on.

The bins were only emptied once over 5 days which meant that there were loads of wasps and rubbish piled up.

It is a real shame as the site has loads of potential. It needs some TLC and some better washing and cleaning facilities. This has the potential to be an amazing site if some investment was put in.
