General

  • Luxury adults-only retreat on a 1730s farmstead in rural Lancashire
  • At the edge of the Brontë and Pendle Way bridle paths
  • Private firepit and barbecue, plus complementary first bag of logs

Parson Lee Farm Glamping is a luxury adults-only site set across the 64-acre grounds of a mid 18th-century farmhouse. It's around a kilometre outside the hamlet of Wycoller, famed for its cotton industry heritage and neolithic and medieval bridges, and surrounded by spectacular Lancashire countryside that's networked with signposted walks, cycle paths and bridleways.

Each of the yurts has an electricity supply and comes kitted out with a comfy double bed and towels and linen for two, as well as a log burner; a hairdryer; a cool box; tea- and coffee-making facilities; crockery, glasses, a corkscrew and a tea towel; and lanterns and solar-powered fairy lights.

The yurts also each have a generous timber deck with rattan furniture, a firepit, a barbecue, a fire blanket and a bucket of sand, plus you'll get your first bag of logs on the house.

Communal amenities include two luxury portaloos and two gas-heated showers with individual changing areas, as well as a communal fridge/freezer and a washing-up area.

Continental breakfast hampers and barbecue packs filled with locally sourced produce can be pre-ordered for delivery direct to your yurt (subject to availability).

There are several good pubs, restaurants and bars a short drive away, as well as a major supermarket and several other convenience stores in the nearest town of Colne.

Please note

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

This is an adults-only site. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Dogs are not allowed in the accommodation units.

Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.

This is a rural farm with a unmade track of three quarters of a mile, which may not be suitable for some vehicles.

Only wood purchased from the site can be used in the firepits.

Truly delightful place in a beautiful location. The yurt was AMAZING, such attention to detail, spotlessly clean and so spacious, far better than many hotel rooms we have stayed in! Aron & Karen were absolutely lovely, giving us lots of information on the area, recommending walks and places to eat (the scones at the local tea rooms were fab, as was the walk up to The Alma where both the food and hospitality was superb!). There are only 4 yurts, nicely spaced, giving an air of privacy and seclusion. All look out onto the rolling countryside and the only sounds are the occasional sheep bleating or cow mooing in the distance - bliss! Cannot recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be visiting again.

We had a fanstastic stay at Parson Lee! Aaron and Karen couldn't have done more to make the stay perfect. The yurt was so cosy and warm even in bad weather and the views and surroundings were perfect for a walk! Aaron also recommended we eat in the Alma Inn about 4 miles away, and it was beautiful I would highly recommend eating out there one night if you stay at Parson Lee.
    Perfect Weekend, would highly reccomend!

What did we like about our stay? In a word, everything. First and foremost, the first class hospitality by Aron and Karen. No stone was left unturned to ensure our stay was special. The facilities were spotless and all in working order. The views were stunning and the Yurt was so cosy. The location itself was full of history and we ventured on several walks, taking in the views and stumbling upon ancient ruins and the Neolithic bridges. We're already looking forward to our next trip back. Fantastic.

There's a lovely pub and cafe a short walk away. If you're wanting a nice quiet and relaxed break with helpful and lovely owners then this is definitely the place to go. We will 100% be returning!

Local attractions

Parson Lee Farm Glamping is set on the edge of the Brontë and Pendle Way bridle paths, which thread their way through the site and across the surrounding countryside

Walk into Wycoller or to the top of Pendle Hill for views out over the countryside and Parson Lee Farm (on a clear day).

Go on a short drive to Haworth for rides along the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, or to walk along its cobbled street – lined with shops and galleries – to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, furnished as it was when the Brontë sisters wrote their farmhouse books.

Visit the little villages of Newchurch-in-Pendle, Roughlee – once home to Alice Nutter, one of the famed 12 Pendle witches – and Barrowford for its museum and visitor centre dedicated to the history of Pendle, or explore the industrial heritage centres of Townley Park and the Weavers' Triangle in Burnley.

A short distance from Wycoller is Skipton, gateway to the Dales, where you'll find a castle, a street market, an old church and lots of little shops and cafés.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is just beyond Skipton and you've got easy access to day trips out to Malham Cove and Tarn, Bolton Abbey and heaps of other interesting places such as York, Ripon, Harrogate, Blackpool, Morecambe and the Lake District.
