Have you ever thought of swapping a busy, bustling lifestyle to take on a more relaxed way of life in the country? Nestled, on a farm within the village of Barton, lies The Piggeries Lodges. Situated within acres of farmland and yet within easy reach of local amenities, The Piggeries aims to provide a sanctuary for those of an age where a relaxed way of life is becoming more important. Within walking distance of our park, is the Lancaster canal, suitable for lovely walks and also stopping off at any one of the three local village pubs (The Roebuck, White Bull and the well renowned Guy’s Thatched Hamlet). We are very lucky to have a fish and chip shop, a Post Office, which also is the local shop selling everything you could possibly need and St Hilda’s Church all within short walking distance. The market town of Garstang is a good walk or bus ride away. There are lots of locally run shops, a weekly market and lots of history within this quaint town. The park has excellent transport links making the cities of Lancaster and Preston incredibly easy to get to.
The Piggeries Lodges is a unique development, only six available plots, within an acre of land that used to house the old piggeries of the farm. An opportunity for the retired and semi-retired to spend time within a rural setting. It is rare to find such a small exclusive development in a setting like this. The sun sets over the farm looking towards the canal, a beautiful scene when sat on your decking.
Whatever the specific needs and requirements of your lifestyle, our lodges can be designed bespoke to you. You can choose from several different styles from the traditional lodge layouts to contemporary open plan, with tongue-and groove effect vaulted ceilings, state of the art kitchens with integrated kitchen appliances, luxurious bathrooms, even complete with plasma TV's and wi-fi music system!
Our family, who have lived on the farm for many years, run the sheep farm. Together, we look forward to welcoming you as a resident of The Piggeries!

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
