Set in 25 acres of picturesque, unspoilt countryside in the heart of the Lake District, award winning Park Cliffe offers visitors a tranquil, yet accessible, retreat from the hurly-burly of modern life.
Just a short distance from Bowness-on-Windermere, the park is in a world of its own with breathtaking views over fell, lake and an abundance of woodland wildlife – squirrels, roe and red deer, foxes and birds – in evidence all around.
There are lots of great walks right on the doorstep and the park’s natural features – especially the meandering shallow beck – are even more popular with children than our specially designed adventure play area!
Whether you arrive at Park Cliffe with tourer or tent, hire a caravan or camping pod or to enjoy a regular break in your own luxury holiday home, you’ll find a warm welcome from our friendly staff, plus peace, comfort and fresh air aplenty in this most beautiful location with a range of modern park amenities to tempt even the most discerning traveller.
Find nearby sites with availability…
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36 and follow the A590 to Newby Bridge. Turn right onto A592 for 3.6 miles and take a right turn (the site is signposted). Park Cliffe is approximately 1/3rd of a mile on right. Please Note: Caravans and motorhomes must approach Park Cliffe from the direction of Newby Bridge.
We advise visitors to Park Cliffe not to use satellite navigation devices as they often route vehicles through the area’s many narrow lanes. Best progress will result from using these directions.

Dove Cottage was the home of William Wordsworth from December 1799 to May 1808, the years of his supreme work as a poet. It was probably built in the early part of the 17th century as a small hostelry, with its oak-panelled hall and floors of Westmorland slate, Dove Cottage never fails to give pleasure to the visitor
