- Yurts in the Heart of the Lake District
At Inside Out Camping we offer wonderful yurts to hire on this site in Borrowdale, just 15 minutes from Keswick.
Our five-metre yurts are equipped with woodburning stoves, solar lights, gas cookers, futon beds, outdoor seating and barbecue.
We operate our yurts from a quiet corner of the regular Seatoller Farm Campsite and share their facilities which are the toilets and showers.
Toilets are situated on the field a couple of minutes' walk away and the free hot showers are a five-minute walk away at the farmers' barn. There is a cold water tap close to the yurts.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

If you are driving you will need to take the B5289, south from Keswick, along the shores of Derwent Water and beyond for approx 7.5 miles. You will drive past the Scafell Inn at Rosthwaite. Before you are in Seatoller make a left turn for Seathwaite. The yurts are in the campsite field (on the left) immediately after a small bridge only 10m from the junction. You should see them easily from the road.
There is a bus service that runs from Keswick to Seatoller and back during the day.
From the campsite you can walk out to the highest Lakeland hills such as Scafell and Great Gable.
Borrowdale is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast with canoeing, climbing, sailing all within easy reach. The award-winning Honister Mine and Via Ferrata is a short drive up the hill from Seatoller.
