General

  • Quiet waterside park close to Brampton, Cumbria
  • Lakeside location, watersports on site

Hidden Forest is a private family-run campsite just half a mile from Brampton and 20 minutes from Carlisle in Cumbria. The owners are proud of their secluded location, but not isolation: Hidden Forest feels far from the crowd, but there is plenty of civilisation nearby.

This is a small site with the benefits of the peaceful country park on your doorstep. The site is effectively a basecamp for exploring the park or Hadrian's Wall country.

The site operates a no noise policy after 10.30pm and is suitable for early birds. Customers can, in fact, enjoy the mist riding over the stunning Tarn and nature.

For heat with no hassle, there is an on-site firepit and logs are available in reception at a small fee.

There is also modern shower and toilet block and a washing-up area.
