South Meadows is a small family run park situated on the edge of the pretty historic village of Belford in North Northumberland. The park is set in 40 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland edged by several acres of woodlands where you can enjoy a quiet walk amongst the bluebells.

Facilities include a modern clean shower and toilet building with disabled facilities and free hot water for showers and washing up. There is a dedicated family shower/toilet area and launderette. Chemical waste disposal is also provided.

A few minutes' walk from our peaceful site there is a local farm shop and restaurant, golf course, local pubs and supermarket.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the Pitchup.com terms and conditions.

We are entitled to eject anyone from the site should any client cause annoyance, bad behaviour, damaged property or abusing our staff. Should this occur then the fee is forfeited. Please note that the deposit paid to Pitchup.com is non-refundable.

Clients or their children may not climb over rail and post fencing around the site. Entrances are provided for access to dog walks.

You are not entitled to cut trees or hedges, or pick flowers in the site or collect fallen wood from site or Bluebell Wood. If you find any tree or hedge a nuisance or unsatisfactory, please raise the matter with reception.

You may park your car only by tent or caravan. Speed should be kept to an absolute minimum and pedestrians and cyclists must be given priority.

Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. Children are to be supervised at all times so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others. Parents must not let their children play alone in the wood.

Bikes may not be ridden in the site between 10.00pm and 8.00am. Bikes must not be ridden around or in the toilet block, nor left obstruction entrance. All ball games may be played only in areas set aside for recreation.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times within the site. All persons walking their dog in the wood must pick up and place animal faeces in the dog bins situated around the site.

Toilet block is open all the time (day and night). No children under five may enter the toilet block without an adult.

Use of unlawful drugs either by sale or use on the site or in the tent or caravan is a criminal offence and will lead to immediate removal of the person concerned. Excessive used alcohol and drunken behaviour will not be tolerated.

Please respect the privacy of the other clients and keep the noise to a minimum at all times – however between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am absolute quiet. Bbqs must finish by 11.00 pm. Fireworks, firearms or weapons are not permitted on the site. No campfires are allowed under any circumstances.

Consistent with our environmental policy, we ask all our clients to segregate their rubbish. We have recycling bins for paper, cans and bottles behind reception, so please use the bins provided. We would be grateful if you would keep the area around your tent or caravan clean.

If you see anyone breaking our rules please report that in reception or after office hours no matter what time of the day or night.
