York Meadows is an all-singing, all-dancing caravan park just eight miles outside the historic city of York, and only three miles from Castle Howard stately home, one of the greatest private residences in the country.

Set in a great location, perfect to head off and explore everything York has to offer, or have a family outing to the coast, there really is plenty for all the ages here at York Meadows. Tucked down a private lane on the outskirts of Sheriff Hutton, here you can escape the busy lifestyle, kick back, and simply enjoy nature.

Love walking? So do we. Surrounded by a network of public footpaths such as the Ebor Way, Wold Way and Centenary Way, we have plenty of options for you. Or if you don’t want to walk that far, take a stroll into the village of Sheriff Hutton where you will be greeted by friendly locals, two village pubs, and a village shop.

There is so much to explore in the area, however you might never have to leave the site at all. Our children’s outdoor play area, complete with swings, zip wire, climbing frame and slide, as well as outdoor table tennis, giant draughts, and snake and ladders, the children will be more than entertained. On site, we also offer you a luxury stone-built toilet block with underfloor heating, a family/disabled bathroom, washing-up sinks, and a laundrette, which are all open 24 hours. The reception/shop sells anything you might have forgotten, fresh bread and milk are stocked, as well as burgers and sausages for those summer barbecues. Don’t feel like cooking? Don’t worry, just ring through your order and get a delivery from one of the local takeaways.
