General

  • Peaceful and spacious park in the Vale of York
  • Nine miles from York via the White Rose cycle route
  • A short stroll from the village of Alne

This serene, roomy park has excellent facilities and its own small shop, and it’s a mere stroll to other commerces, a restaurant, tennis courts and a playground in the comely village of Alne, in the heart of the Vale of York.

Super clean with friendly staff. The way the site is set out it was really easy for kids to make friends and play together whilst being seen at all times.

    Disliked:

Nit picking but had to wait a while to get access to dish washing facilities but thus wasn't really a big deal.

    Disliked:

Wouldn't like to say disliked. But there could be engaged signs on toilet and shower doors when in use

From the manager...

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you again sometime.
We understand wholeheartedly your comment. We have in the past provided signs to hang on the doors but unfortunately we find that they "walk" We need to rethink another method . Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Excellent site and would definitely recommend. All the staff are very helpful. The wardens Kath and her husband were very helpful and there knowledge of the area was very useful. They kept the site very very clean
The pitches are great and level and loads of room. Definitely one of the best shower blocks I have ever used.
Had a walk over to the cricket club house and to watch the game. Very friendly staff.
Very central to all of Yorkshire. Only stayed for three nights but wish I had booked a week here.
Had a day out to Whitby which I could recommend. We caught the bus to York which is only a ten minute to the bus stop for the campsite.
All in all a great stay.
