- Family-run site a few miles from Scarborough
- Toilets, showers, playground and shop
- Bar, restaurant, wifi and evening entertainment on site
Off to Scarborough? Fancy combining seaside sprees with wholesome hikes in the Yorkshire moors? Come and stay with Neil, Shaz and the friendly committed team at small, traditional and family-friendly Arosa Caravan And Camping Park, a few miles from the Yorkshire coast and on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. You might also feel that the park fry-ups and burgers are not to be missed either…
Loads of little touches are laid on to ensure guests have a chilled out time, but the Arosa team have paid particular attention to their amenities, including a clean shower block with hot air hand dryers, razor points, and sockets for the chaps to plug in their hair straighteners.
A playground, wifi throughout the park, waste disposal and a launderette are also available, and if you've forgotten any essential bits – like your toothbrush – the shop at reception stocks a good range of what you might need.
But more importantly, the fry-ups, burgers and other tasty treats… Proper-sized portions of food at proper prices can be tucked into at Sharon's Kitchen, dishing up home-cooked breakfast, lunch and evening meals including hog roasts and Sunday lunches.
Eat outside at the peaceful seating/barbecue roast area – see the site pics – or bring your plate into Joe's Bar; takeaway is available too if you'd rather eat pitchside.
Of an evening, settle down in the clubhouse bar for a good range of entertainment – karaoke, bingo, quiz nights and live music are all on the menu at weekends and in peak season – while the kids entertain themselves in the games room just upstairs.

From York
Take the A1036 to A1237 and continue on the A64 to Main St/B1261 in North Yorkshire. From Main St, drive to Ratten Row and the camping park will be on the right.
The park is only minutes away from Scarborough and is on the main coastline bus route.
We are a 15-minute walk from Seamer train station.
Local attractions
To the coast first, perhaps, for a day or two at North Yorkshire's seaside capital Scarborough, the UK's first seaside resort and still going strong – the sands here are only three miles from Arosa.
Scarborough has the usual seaside town attractions including a fairground, donkey rides and a sealife centre, but those who want to explore further can try the Italian gardens, the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Britain’s only seaside orchestra, shopping at the Brunswick Centre, or gushing at the streams and mini waterfalls of pretty Peasholm Park.
Away from the seaside, weeks' worth of activities are nearby in North Yorkshire and the North York Moors National Park: take your pick from fishing, hiking, climbing, horse-riding, pony trekking, boating, waterskiing, and, more placidly, golf.
Less than 20 miles' drive will take you to simply spiffing Whitby, one of the most topping places on the Yorkshire coast and where Dracula bounded off his ship in Bram Stoker's book. Make sure to see Whitby Abbey, and if you're in town around Halloween, you might like to flap your cape at the Whitby Gothic Weekend.
