On Saturday 5th July the Tour de France, the world’s greatest cycle race, will be passing the main entrance of Lightwater Valley Theme Park. We are very excited to announce that from Thursday 3rd July until Wednesday 9th July we will be hosting our very own Big Yellow Campsite. The theme park is perfectly placed to offer you an amazing view of the race and get you up close to the action.

Please note that as the Tour de France will be passing the main entrance to our site on Saturday 5th July, road closures will be in place. We will therefore not be admitting visitors to the campsite on the Saturday 5th July. All visitors must be onsite by Friday 4th July.

You will be issued with a wristband that will allow you free entry into the theme park on any day during your stay, except Saturday 5th July, when the theme park will be closed.

Lightwater Valley will provide toilets and showers for your convenience but we recommend that you bring your own toilet roll.

Open from 3 Jul to 9 Jul

The campsite is open from 9am Thursday 3rd July until 6pm Wednesday 9th July 2014.

Guests must check in by Friday 4th July at 8pm at the latest as road closures from early morning on the Saturday could restrict access to the site.

Set up time will be from 9am to 8pm each day except Saturday 5th July.

Pitch must be vacated before 6pm on day of departure.

You will need to bring your booking confirmation to gain access to the site.

A wrist band will be issued on arrival. All guests must wear the campsite wristband at all times. Failure to do so will result in access to the site being denied. The wrist band also entitles the wearer to multiple free entries into the theme park on any day during your stay, except Saturday 5th July, when the theme park will be closed. A valid parking ticket must be displayed at all times on all vehicles.

Lightwater Valley will provide toilets and showers for your convenience but we recommend that you bring your own toilet roll.

Vehicles are parked at your own risk.

No fires, fireworks, Chinese lanterns or glass allowed on site.

Barbecues are allowed only if they are positioned off the ground.

No pets allowed on the campsite or the theme park.

Campers are asked to respect fellow campers; therefore the playing of audio or acoustic music is not permitted before 9am or after 10pm. All music must be played quietly. An acceptable volume level will be at the discretion of Lightwater Valley staff.

It is recommended that campers bring their own torches, fire extinguishers and first aid kits.

We request that all litter is disposed of in bins provided.

First aid will be on-site, please contact a member of staff.

Campers are responsible for their own possessions.

Lightwater Valley reserves the right to withdraw admission, without refund, to anyone who disregards these terms and conditions or causes damage, annoyance, disturbance or nuisance. Confiscate items which may potentially be used as a weapon and confiscate illegal drugs, and inform the police.

Lightwater Valley does not accept liability for any claim that may arise from injury or damage to persons or property, or any third party, as a result of your activities on Lightwater Valley land.
