Camping, self catering, cycling, Trout & Salmon fishing, hiking or just plain mooching around the jewel that is the Yorkshire dales, if that’s your bag then Masham Riverside can accommodate.

Masham Riverside is nestled on the East bank of the river Ure on the edge of Masham, North Yorks providing private and tranquil camping in a 10 acre field with a woodland backdrop and 600 metre private river frontage.
The location hosts a rich collection of wildlife residents including the regular Kingfisher, the Oyster catcher crew, dippers, Greylag geese, rabbits to rival Watership down, Roe deer, Mallards,, Moor hens and a river stocked with Trout and Salmon!

This stretch of the river Ure is nationally renowned as some of the finest Trout fly fishing to be had in the UK with it’s fair share of Salmon and Grayling to hook too. Day tickets are available on site (fly only).
Cycopath Cycles are conveniently located within the grounds offering CYCLE HIRE, (booking recommended). REPAIRS and SERVICING from their on site workshop. The owner Stef Reeves will be more than willing to assist with any info regarding routes, on and off road, the Tour de Yorkshire stages, map rental etc. SECURE BIKE LIVERY is also available on site.

Masham Riverside also have three self catering properties available comprising of two purposely converted stable studio apartments each with two bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms and a period cottage within the same courtyard which sleeps four. All three properties are within the private courtyard of Burton house which sits elevated overlooking the woodland, river and across the dale.

The vibrant, quirky small market town of Masham itself is a 5 minute walk from the site offering plenty for the visitor. Home to the famous Theakstons and Black sheep breweries and visitor centre. We’ll leave the rest for you to discover as you mooch at your own leisure, you won’t be disappointed with Mashams charm.

There are no arrivals allowed due to traffic restrictions in place on Saturday 5th July 2014.

Please note there are no showers on site.

We let a pitch to you with the expectation that you will follow the usual customs of good camping and caravanning. We reserve the right to ask you to leave at any point of your stay if the behaviour of any member of your party is unacceptable to us and no refund of monies will be paid.

Burton House Campsite will not be liable to any person visiting, for any personal injury, fatal or non fatal unless caused by a negligent act or omission by the company or its employees. Burton House Campsite will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to any property including, motor vehicles and personal effects, howsoever caused or sustained.

You must pitch as directed by the ground staff, not encroach upon any other pitches and consider fire risk limitation, safety and access. If you pitch outside the boundaries of your pitch or your unit is judged to pose a risk to the safety and comfort of others you will be asked to move.

A valid ticket must be clearly displayed on your unit at all times.

The speed limit is 5mph. Please drive slowly, this includes bicycles and any other wheeled conveyances. Drivers must hold a licence and have tax and MOT as appropriate. No recreational vehicles such as motorised scooters or quad bikes are allowed.

You must ensure children in your party are properly supervised at all times, in all areas of the site, including the river area and when cycling and on foot around the site.

Throughout the duration of your stay, please remain within the boundaries of the site, i.e the camp field. Crossing any fences on to private land surrounding the field will be deemed as trespassing and you will be asked to leave with no refunds payable.

If there is a problem or dissatisfaction with any matters under our control, please notify us immediately, so we may have the opportunity to rectify issues. We cannot accept liability in relation to any claim of whatever nature if you fail to notify us within three days from the end of your stay with us.

There is a charge of £10 per person per day for fishing. You need your own fishing equipment and a licence.
