Grange Farm Lodge is a friendly family-run site in the Suffolk countryside and a great base from which to explore many local attractions.
On site there is the opportunity to fish in a small pond just adjacent to the site. There is a path set out around the property which is ideal for country walks. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome. The site itself stands in eight acres and the pitches are very large with plenty of room for the whole family.
The family look forward to giving you a warm welcome and enjoyable stay.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

When leaving Great Ashfield, turn right to Long Thurlow on Ashfield hill. At the top of Ashfield hill, turn right, follow this road into Wyverstone, and turn left into Potash Lane by a duck pond. Proceed along Potash Lane and you will see Grange Farm Lodge on your right, go through a black metal gate.
The neighbouring village of Bacton has a small local shop and a village pub which serves food and a selection of local beers. The village of Elmswell, also very local, offers a Co-operative store and a selection of takeaway food establishments. In Wyverstone itself there is a fre -range farm shop.
The historic town of Bury St. Edmunds, with something to offer the whole family, is just a few miles away. Visit Bury St. Edmunds' wonderful Abbey Gardens, which include a fabulous area for children, as well as the ruins of the old abbey, an aviary and squirrels that will take food from your hand. The gardens are at the bottom of Angel Hill, right in the town centre. Bury St. Edmunds is also home to the IPA Greene King Brewery which offers tours and has a fascinating shop to visit. There's a great selection of cafés and coffee shops to choose from in this pretty floral town and market days are held Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Stowmarket is a small market town just a few miles away and just a little further you will find Ipswich, another historic town with the Christchurch Park and mansion house not to be missed, along with the beautifully redeveloped waterfront area.
