Stateside or Suffolk? You won't have to choose between the two at American School Bus Glamping, as this fab site 15 minutes' drive from Bury St Edmunds brings together the best of both in a cool retro setting.
Located in a premier area of a larger campsite, the glamping on offer here is right next to the Suffolk Academy, a well-established adventure, fitness and activities centre with eight acres of facilities to explore.
But there's also a lot to get excited about when you take a look at the unit in its own right. The bus, a Texan import, sleeps up to six in true comfort and style. Highlights – and there are a lot of them – include its superb kitchen with a gas hob and fridge, the luxury on-board shower, a quality outdoor barbecue and a fab alfresco seating and dining space. There’s also underfloor heating and a clean-burning wood-fired stove to keep you warm. Finally, you can also look forward to hotel-quality Egyptian cotton bedding, duck down duvets and luxury towels.
The site is on the northern edge of the small village of Barrow, an easy drive from Bury's town centre and shops. Newmarket can be reached within a quarter of an hour if you travel in the other direction, while the centre of the university city of Cambridge is about half an hour from base.

No refunds within 1 week of arrival date.
Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.
Please note that your deposit is paid to Pitchup.com and is non-refundable.
Payment
A 15% non-refundable deposit is payable now. American School Bus Glamping will debit the balance from your card 2 weeks before arrival, or if the arrival date is sooner than 2 weeks then the balance will be taken immediately.
Hired accommodation: £500.00 damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
You can also opt to pay the full amount at the time of your booking, or at any point before the due date.
