- Traditional back-to-basics camping in the Norfolk Broads
- Quiet and friendly site with a 10pm noise curfew
- Immaculately-maintained washroom and free use of firepits
It might be traditional back to basics camping, but facilities, friendliness and excellent amenities are in no way skimped on at popular yet peaceful Home Fields Camping in the Norfolk Broads.
Although the site only opened in 2016, the sparklingly well-maintained showers and toilets here have already been acclaimed as 'almost like being at home', 'very clean' and 'absolutely immaculate' by chuffed former guests – and praise has been heaped upon the helpfulness and friendliness of Home Fields owner Mark by most too.
Home Fields is within walking distance of the Norfolk village of Cantley, on the north bank of the River Yare. The city of Norwich and the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth are both around 10 miles away; fab adventure park BeWILDerwood is within nine, and the alpacas, other animals and rides of Pettitts Animal Adventure Park are under five miles from the site.
Campfires are allowed here – in free firepits, no less – or you can fire up a barbie instead if you so wish. You're also assured of a peaceful night's rest here, as Home Fields is a quiet site that doesn't accept young unsupervised groups, and that uses a strict noise curfew of 10pm.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

There's loads to do all around whether you're on holiday with the kids, with your other half or with your esteemed self, around the Broads, Norfolk's nature reserves, family attractions and along the coast.
For family days, zip along to the acclaimed and award-winning BeWILDerwood amusement park at Wroxham; the monkeys, reptiles and alpacas at Petitt in Reedham; Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden at South Walsham, and seaside days and the Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens at Great Yarmouth.
Also around are guided and self-guided boat trips, waterside walks and wildlife watching excursions on the Broads, one of the biggest wetland areas in the UK. Walkers and bikers have heaps to pick from too, such as the 12 circular walks of the Wherryman’s Way along the Yare (or the full 35-mile run to Great Yarmouth), and the long Norwich to Lincoln section of National Cycle Route 1, passing Fakenham, King’s Lynn, Wisbeach, Holbeach and Boston.
If you're a vintage railway fan and steamy sort, you'll be well chuffed with the sights of the Strumpshaw Hall Steam Museum a couple of miles away, making up what's believed to be the UK's biggest private collection of steam engines.
