    Facilities are clean..
Site has several fields, one given over to a childs play field.
    Site is very quiet.

Very friendly and relaxed owners Clive is a very friendly approachable gentleman who always has time for his customers. Staff all great especially Paul ! Thanks for looking after us ! . Great facilities very nicely tucked away just three miles from aylsham town centre . A beautiful place to sit out at night listen to the barn owls and tawnys call . We were lucky enough to have a young owl family in the tree behind us . Unspoilt starry nights you could see the ribbon of the Milky Way . So if you want a relaxed family friendly site that's will put you firmly in touch with nature . Top farm is the one . Just five miles from the broads , twelve from Wroxham , four from blickling hall . Twenty seven from Norwich and Yarmouth . Sheringham and Cromer all just under an hour away . It's a great place to base your Norfolk holiday .

    Disliked:

The fact we couldn't stay longer.

This was our first forey into the world of camping with Belle our bell tent and we hit gold with this campsite. Clive was very welcoming and sorted us out with all the things we hadn't got! Hook up extension etc.

This level site was beautiful on the edge of a magnificent forest with plenty of walks to explore. It was well situated to explore the surrounding area and lots of places welcomed dogs which made a pleasant change.

A lot of the caravan owners kept their vans at the site all year round which speaks volumes in itself and we found those in residence very welcoming.

The facilities were clean and offered everything we required.

We will definitely be back as we want to explore the area further.

Local attractions

Wave hello to north Norfolk’s seafronts and lap up the entertainment you’ll find for all. Less than half an hour from the coast, the five beaches closest to Top Farm will all have you diving in feet first with their top-quality bathing water.

Try and refrain yourself from putting in an offer on one of the colourful beachfront huts overlooking the sandy expanse at Mundesley, while the Victorian pier at Cromer shows any seaside town ‘just the way to do it’ with traditional rides and entertainment taking place on and around the historic pier and in its Pavilion Theatre, along with ice cream parlours and Mary Jane’s renowned fish and chip restaurant that’s anyfin but ordinary.

You’ll be on just the right track with little locomotive enthusiasts as you chug along to the Bure Valley Railway - Norfolk’s longest 15-inch gauge line. The 18-mile round trip runs from Aylsham to Wroxham and back and you can hop aboard at either stop (each are around 30 minutes in the car north or south of Top Farm) and it runs through many a market town enroute. Controllers-in-the-making will be steaming with delight as they spot the wildlife in the rivers and meadows along the way. The cycle and walking trail which runs alongside the line is a rail treat too.

Go wild at BeWILDerwood, only 13 miles away, for a creepy-crawlingly good day of fun. This is the Norfolk Broads as you’ve never seen before - from treehouses to tricky tunnels and storybook characters young bookworms will be wriggling to meet, the intriguing characters hanging around the BeWILDerwood forest put an interesting ‘folk’ into Norfolk, and kids will be desperate to get exploring.

For tiring the tots out or for simply some of the best ways to see the local area, walking paths and cycle routes are bursting around the Broads, while if you fancy dabbling in the water itself, canoe hire is also available for active and nature-spotting types.

Thorpe Marshes is 30 minutes south by car where you can spy species of damsel- and dragonfly and Cockshoot Broads, around half an hour to the east, is brilliant for birdspotters.

Fifteen minutes’ drive northward and you’ll be tickling with excitement as you arrive at Blickling - a National Trust property which will have historians hankering to find out more about the area. With gardens to get the green-fingered positively emerald with envy and home to a book collection which will have library lovers falling over themselves, a day out at Blickling Estate is a must. The Muddy Boots café on site means everyone’s invited for a scone, no matter how you get there…

Food, drink, art, history...if your group of holidaymakers have an interest every which way - a day trip to Norwich city centre will have them all going ‘nanas for Norfolk and it’s just half an hour’s drive south from Top Farm.
