  • No finer place to pitch up, mix gastronomy with camping
  • On the grounds of Somerleyton Estate
  • Horse riding, lakeside pitches, water sports, adventure playground

Tranquillity and adventure await you at The Fritton Arms Campsite. Make the Fritton Arms part of your great local day out - there are lovely walks along the banks of Fritton Lake, an adventure playground and in summer plenty of activity on the lake itself.

Remember to refuel with fine dining at the on-site pub... or simply do nothing at all and enjoy the countryside views and settings.

The campsite is set within the 5000 acres of the Somerleyton Estate where you can enjoy an afternoon tea in the gardens after visiting the manor house. Guests can also visit the sister pub, The Duke's Head after a woodland walk. Toilets and showers are available near the camping field.

Setting was lovely, reasonable price. Quiet.

One ladies toilet, no hot water for washing up. Not enough/adequate bins, so rubbish overflowed & attracted vermin. Small pitches, but didn't affect us as fairly quiet on our visit. Camp map vague. Staff not proactive at all. No changes at all when reading last years reviews. Disappointed

Local attractions

On Fritton Lake there is an activity centre with mountain bike hire, tree climbing and go karting. If you like the water then rowing and canoeing are what you need. For horse riders, the activity centre caters for beginners whilst experienced guests can enjoy a thrilling hack around the woodland. Take walks in the estate and visit the stately Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, making time for afternoon tea.

Dine at The Fritton Arms and The Dukes Head - both excellent pubs serving fresh, local ingredients, with flair!

Outside the wonderful estate there are family attractions such as Pleasurewood Hills, and Great Yarmouth. For something quintessentially English the campsite is within easy reach of Southwold and coastal towns.
