The wardens were very friendly and polite.

    Disliked:

    1) We very much disliked the pitch, it would not hold the pegs for the awning, they were too close together they did not seem as big as advertised on the web.
    2) We hated the showers you had to kiss the wall to get wet, the water was never hot no matter what time you went for one.
    3) when washing up due to water not being very hot we could not wash our dishes properly, in fact one night we had no hot water at all.

Lovely site, great well at reception, the site warden showed use to our pitch and was always very helpful and friendly. Clean site with a great pool and club house. Local shop for all your needs. Shower facilities were kept clean and tidy. Club house staff always friendly and helpful.

    Disliked:

Not a lot to dislike only issue we had was no hot water on the last day and as we left before reception was open could not do anything about it. Water on other days could have been a touch warmer but it was all passable.

Shown to allocated pitch by friendly staff. Due to having a disabled child I had a few requests upon booking which were all granted, very disabled friendly!!! Excellent play area for the young children, showers and toilets very close, clean and spacious showers. All in all a fantastic break and have booked a caravan for next year. This review is for the YARE VILLAGE site.

    Disliked:

Entertainment too loud for my little one which was disappointing, if the sound was turned down a bit it would have been enjoyable.

Local attractions

Great Yarmouth, a short drive away, has masses of fun attractions - too many to list here, but to give you an idea: the Sea Life aquarium, the exhilarating indoor circuit at Karting 2000, mini choo-choos and tiny townsfolk at Merrivale Model Village and Gardens, and the Elizabeth House Museum, where visitors can don Tudor fashions and find out what life was really like below stairs for Victorian scullery maids.

There are more than 50 acres of adrenaline rides, plus parrot and sea lion shows and an Alpine chair lift at Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft.

For those seeking more genteel pursuits, also near Lowestoft is Somerleyton Hall, a Tudor-Jacobean pile with pleasure gardens and a maze, home to the Crossley Carpets dynasty.

Drive a little further and you can explore the beaut wetlands and waterways of the Norfolk Broads, or head south to gorgeous Southwold and Aldeburgh in Suffolk.
