General

  • Friendly freehouse and nineteenth century pub
  • Rural setting but only a few miles from Holt and Cromer
  • Music nights, quiz nights and bridge club

To some it's a pub, to others it's a 'home from home'. The Green Man Inn is a free house - a traditional, rural 19th-century pub with a site for touring caravans and tents in rural Norfolk, on the A148 between Fakenham and Holt.

The Green Man Inn is a local village pub with character, serving real ales, home-cooked food and a good selection of wines. It's child friendly and dogs are also welcome.

The friendly management and staff here run a bridge club on Tuesday afternoons and guests are welcome to join in. The pub also has music and quiz nights,

Make the pub your base to visit other areas as the bus service is just outside. The chef will be happy to make up picnics hamper of your choice too.

Please note

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Attractions in and around Little Snoring:

The pub is centrally placed making it easy to reach Norfolk’s birdwatching and historic areas such as the famous nature reserves at Holkham, Titchwell, Holme, the Norfolk Broads National Park, and Thetford Forest, and the hundreds of miles of sandy beaches and salt marshes. Wherever you are in the county, you'll bump into twitchers watching the latest rare bird that has come to this beautiful part of the world.

Holt is a small ancient market town full to the brim with history and heritage sites. Cromer is renowned for the Cromer crab and the Thursford Collection museum is but a stone's throw away. Just up the road is the famous pilgrim destination of Little Walsingham. Eight miles further north are the coastal town and beaches of Wells-Next-The-Sea and Holkham.

Two miles to the south is Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and home of BBC’s Springwatch. A little further away Grime's Graves is the only Neolithic flint mine open to visitors in Britain. Fakenham ancient market town (noted in the Domesday book) has a national hunt racecourse, the Museum of Gas, a small cinema, a six-lane tenpin bowling centre, a flea market held every Thursday, and a farmers' market held monthly.

Norfolk's beaches are not far away and easy to get to by car or bus.
