General

  • Stay along the banks of the River Isbourne in the Cotswolds
  • An easy drive from Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Worcester
  • Natural, peaceful setting but with site facilities and hot water

Off to the Cotswolds? Check out Manor Farm Glamping, where romantic couples, families looking to go back to basics and those who want a peaceful and quiet countryside setting will all be sorted here. (As will those who like their comforts: the site has two fully-equipped family bathrooms with showers and hairdryers, a kitchen with washing-up facilities and use of a fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle.)

This is a wild camping site, where nature fans can pitch their tents on the banks of the River Isbourne in a wildlife haven with all sorts of species spottable from each pitch. Guests also have access to the footpath and scenery-laden walks through the farmland and along the river – and star-filled skies in these parts come as standard.

Other amenities include a composting toilet, hot shower, wash basins and a washing-up sink. The wild camping part is accessed by tarmac track at the outset, and then by farm track thereafter which may not be suitable for low-slung vehicles in poor weather; if so, parking is available nearby and the site is a short walk away.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

We loved the Buttercup Field, as we had the whole field to ourselves (group of 19 humans plus 4 dogs), with 3 motorhomes and four tents plus a kitchen & dining area under awnings. The barbecue/fire-pit was massive - we actually put our own bbq on top to do the cooking, but then loaded it up with the logs provided. There was a fantastic walk from this field along the meadow next to the stream down to the small river half a mile away where we found a bathing spot. It was all very peaceful and private, lots of room for the kids to play, and the dogs had a great time too.

What a great place to stay. I liked everything about it. For a large family group ranging from 7 months to 70 years we were all really pleased with the facilities and space. The BBQ and fire pit with wood supplied to the little extras of washing up liquid, tea towels and hand towels in the shower/toilets were much appreciated.

The location was great too with walks straight from the campsite.

Our hosts were friendly, available and always helpful.

Great secluded spot. Really felt like we’re away from it all.
Great facilities. Was just enough. Shower was excellent.
Loved the fact we could have a fire

    Disliked:

Quite pricey. No easy access to the river.
The dogs found their way down but would of been great if the kids could of got down safely for a paddle.

The 'luxury' of this peaceful wild camp site: spotless facilities, including composting loo, hot shower & covered washing up area. I realised, looking out at a lovely sunset, I was not only surviving, but thriving without electric hook-up!

    Disliked:

Minor inconvenience was having to bring drinking water - but came prepared, as owner emailed useful info & maps!

Local attractions

Manor Farm Glamping is close to the Cotswold town of Broadway but an easy drive from Cheltenham, Stratford upon Avon and Worcester for city days out.

Staying closer to home, the farm has several linking walks and many Cotswold footpaths are in the area. From Broadway, Manor Farm Glamping's closest town, take one of two scenic walks along part of the Cotswold Way: the six miles to Chipping Camden or the six and a half to Wood Stanway.

Broadway village, the closest to Manor Farm, is well worth a wander too as it's one of the best known in the Cotswolds and like most of the area is mighty pretty too. Head for the High Street to shop for arts and antiques and to the Ashmolean Museum Broadway in an old Tudor pub; if you're still up for a hike, Broadway Hill is the highest part of the northern Cotswolds and overlooks the village.

The site is also close to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, operating from nearby Broadway station for return trips to Cheltenham.
