General

  • Stay along the banks of the River Isbourne in the Cotswolds
  • An easy drive from Cheltenham, Stratford upon Avon and Worcester
  • Natural, peaceful setting but with site facilities and hot water

Off to the Cotswolds? Check out Manor Farm Glamping, where romantic couples, families looking to go back to basics and those who want a peaceful and quiet countryside setting will all be sorted here. (As will those who like their comforts: the site has two fully-equipped family bathrooms with showers and hairdryers, a kitchen with washing-up facilities and use of a fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle.)

The Manor Farm Glamping safari tent overlooks The Paddock and the surrounding farmland and can take seven guests in a double room, triple room and double sofa bed suitable for the kids. It's fully kitted out and has beds with sprung mattresses, a rattan lounge/dining set, a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer and electricity throughout. There's a decked patio with circular wooden outdoor seating: just the ticket for watching spectacular sunsets, tipple in hand, while sorting out the barbecue…

The wild camping part of the site lets nature lovers pitch their tents on the banks of the River Isbourne, with plenty of flora and fauna all around directly from each pitch. Both sets of guests have access to the footpath and scenery-laden walks through the farmland and along the river – and star-filled skies in these parts come as standard.

Manor Farm also has a composting loo, hot shower, wash basins and washing-up sink. The wild camping site is accessed by tarmac track at the outset, and then by farm track thereafter which may not be suitable for low-slung vehicles in poor weather. If so, parking is available nearby and the site is a short walk away.

Peaceful wildcamping location 22/08/2017

Reviewer's country: United Kingdom Paul M. Confirmed

Stayed in the Wildcamping Site, lovely setting by the river with lots of wildlife and berries growing in the hedgerows.
    Nice and peaceful.
The honesty box for fire pit and fuel was a good touch, nice not to have to pay a huge deposit.

    Disliked:

I know this is daft because it was a 'Wildcamping' site. But with their being only one timber clad shower cubicle and one toilet, it would have been nice to have use of the facilities by the farmhouse to avoid queuing and/or the occasional nicer shower, especially for the price.

Clean amenities and flat pitches 16/08/2017

Reviewer's country: United Kingdom Leigh L. Confirmed

We liked the fact that the camp is quite isolated with the nearest large village about five miles away. Also the pitch was in the wild field which is away from the rest of the campsite with only basic amenities.
The field is flat and has river through it.
We enjoyed our stay and there was only about another six campers while we were there and the best part was that you could pitch where you liked.

We were on a slight slope and I kept sliding down the bed 😂

We were in the buttercup medow

A lovely clean campsite with nice toilet and shower facilities.
We hired a reasonably priced fire pit and logs which were lovely to sit around.
The whole place just looked well maintained, the grass was short, the signs were clear, just a well managed facility.

    Disliked:

No pubs close-by, but we knew this so it was not a surprise.
We were a little close to the people camping next to use (I think pitches 5 and 6) when the rest of the field was really empty.
A camp shop would of been nice.

    Disliked:

Nothing much to dislike except perhaps the signage could be a little clearer and bolderZ

Many thanks for taking time to review our site. Perhaps you would consider our other site for another visit: Buttercup Meadow which is situated within the farm grounds and is less rustic than Wild Camping, with modern, and more facilities?

Brilliant setting if you want to get away from it all. Compost toilet was clean, shower was hot. Pizza on Friday night at the farm was lovely!

    Disliked:

Nothing I disliked at all, only comment would be an additional toilet would be nice, there were a few families on our first night and some queuing!

Local attractions

Manor Farm Glamping is close to the Cotswold town of Broadway but an easy drive from Cheltenham, Stratford upon Avon and Worcester for city days out.

Staying closer to home, the farm has several linking walks and many Cotswold footpaths are in the area. From Broadway, Manor Farm Glamping's closest town, take one of two scenic walks along part of the Cotswold Way: the six miles to Chipping Camden or the six and a half to Wood Stanway.

Broadway village, the closest to Manor Farm, is well worth a wander too as it's one of the best known in the Cotswolds and like most of the area is mighty pretty too. Head for the High Street to shop for arts and antiques and to the Ashmolean Museum Broadway in an old Tudor pub; if you're still up for a hike, Broadway Hill is the highest part of the northern Cotswolds and overlooks the village.
